Yeah. I have also seen a fair amount of Sponge Bob.

 

Never seen it, but due to its amount of cultural saturation, I know who a lot of the characters are, have seen the memes and the reaction gifs.

Anyway, yes, I've seen plenty of Spongebob. Even saw the series premiere when I was but a wee Ramza.

Earlier episodes are pretty hilarious. The show got annoying in later seasons, which was nice, because that's when my son started to lose interest.

I've been trying to get him to watch Ren and Stimpy with me for years (I have all of it), but he wont budge. Early Sponge Bob reminds me a bit of Ren and Stimpy... certain elements are sort of similar.

 

Having been a kid when it first aired, I have seen quite a bit of Spongebob. Definitely got worse as it went on.

It was actually a smart pick... you're hitting the parents and the youngins.

 

SpongeBob was indeed hilarious up until the movie came out. Interesting to point out that after each season, Tom Kenny's voice gets increasingly more high pitched and irritating.

 

But it's a great pick. Seen it.

When it comes to certain things, I can't argue with that assessment.



As for the current show at-hand, I've never seen Spongebob... but good ******* grief, all of the related merchandise that I came into contact with, etc, during my Walmart years.

 

'Ironic' and 'dumb' are not synonyms.

 

And those with nieces, nephews, etc., who were at that age when Spongebob was popular (and would watch it nonstop, particularly the marathons).

Which I suppose is my roundabout way of saying, yes, I've seen it.

There's a vast misunderstanding of what "ironic" means going on in this forum.
