I have seen it, and I also wondered why the War Doctor looked familiar. Thanks Juliet!

[face_laugh] Yes, I've seen all six live-action films and the TCW movie, though not the Holiday Special or the two Ewoks movies. But Star Wars is really the only fandom I'm even remotely interested in. I rarely venture outside of Star Wars in any form of media. At least 90% of my bookshelf is Star Wars books, and the only non-Star Wars stuff on my DVD/Blu-ray rack are Spaceballs, Garfield: The Movie, Agent Cody Banks (which I was given as a gift and have never watched), two documentaries about auto racing (only one of which has been watched), a complete season of Survivor: All-Stars (season 8) that hasn't been touched in years (I quit watching that show two or three years ago), the first two seasons of Dukes of Hazzard, and my high school graduation ceremony.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Otherwise I'd win every time. The only reason I jumped in is because I figured it would be an easy way to win colors. But winning every time would get boring, so I'll go easy on you and not play again after this. :p

yeah i mean no offense at all, but we don't generally take the game that seriously or care about the colors much. it actually wouldn't bother me if you kept playing. but it's sort of a game for people who are actually fans of movies and stuff and part of the fun is discussing them when they come up.

Well, I would like to start watching more movies, now that I've found a first-run theater near me with $5.50 discount Wednesdays. The problem is picking a good one to "break the ice" with. I think once I watch that first one, it'll be easier to pull the trigger on subsequent ones.

If anybody wants to suggest a good movie to start with (especially one still in first-run theaters), I'm all ears. :)

For $7.99/month you could watch pretty much every movie we've mentioned in this thread in a single month. This game's movies are a solid start for anyone.

My internet connection isn't fast enough to stream movies without slowing down the connection for everyone else in the house (hence why I haven't watched season 6 of TCW yet). I need to watch movies in theaters or get actual DVDs or Blu-rays (and my preferred venue for getting DVDs is the library).

Right now, we're on the slowest speed available on AT&T U-verse (3Mbps), and we're getting a deeply discounted promotional rate on that because we were forced to upgrade from DSL service when they discontinued that in the area. Upgrading to the next speed level (6Mbps) would cause us to lose that ridiculously low promotional rate, meaning we would end up paying about an extra $30 per month, plus we would have to sign a one-year contract (we didn't have to sign a contract before because we were forced into the switch). So we'd like to stay with the current plan as long as possible.

With the current 3Mbps connection, if one person starts watching a video (e.g. on YouTube) or starts downloading a large file, everyone else's experience slows to near dial-up speeds until the first person's download finishes. So we have to be smart about when we download huge files like GPS map updates (usually letting the download run overnight).
