I have read "The Cat in the Hat."

I haven't read "Twilight." The vampire story. Don't even know the full title.

Dammit. This shouldn't count. How can you possibly feel any shame for not having read Twilight, at least compared to dumbasses like me who did read it?! I feel waaaay more shame for having read it than if I still hadn't done so.

Had to read (aloud) excerpts of each of the godforesaken books while wearing sparkly black nail polish and drinking V8 at work because the team I manage won a challenge, but nowhere near enough to count it as a yes in this competition. Thank God.

 

I almost picked Twilight as my pick for this round, but given that it's, well, Twilight, I figured I'd have far better like with 2001: A Spacey Oddessy.

The only vampire book I've ever read is Dracula.

 

I have had not even heard of Twilight before the first movie came out. Nothing about the preview gave me any reason to read the book. The more I've learned about this ridiculousness, the more convinced I am that I made a wise choice.

 

I actually tried to read it (on a dare from my boss from a bookstore I worked at). I think I made it through four pages before I quit.

 

It's pretty terrible.
