I agree w/DH...but I liked having a goal. You all know I never posted as often as I did the last few days...

It was, although kinda negatively, an inspiration.

 

So, was all that stuff (the stars, the 'I LIEK TREK' thing on the boards, etc.) controlled by fans in England or something? 'Cause it showed up long before last night at midnight, and disappeared long before today ends. I just think it's weird, 'cause board time is Pacific (no matter where you are when you get on).

 

It was really strange that it ended at about 11:50 a.m our time...I'm happy to blame Brits for anything because they are often so anti-American without any reason. I can't believe the attitude wrt the French, when the English have been bashing us daily for YEAAAAAAARS. The French have always been quite a different culture, but I was always bummed at the English 'tude. Maybe somehow it's harder to forgive.

 

Well...the stars are gone from viewing on threads, but you can still see them if you check out your "watched users" on your profile. Apparently they've always been there...and there they'll stay.

Ahhh, but it was fun while it lasted.

Perhaps this thread should now be put to rest.
