Memph, TN Shorty's Star Wars/Indy sketch book

Some of you know of my friend Tess Fowler. She's got a little nephew Dominic(aka Shorty) who's been having it rough with some health problems.

He's a big Star wars and Indiana Jones (and Short-Round) fan and loves art. His faves are Chewie, Han, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Stinky, Ahsoka, Indy, pretty much just the good guys- and girls.

Last month he had an accident at school when the brakes on his wheelchair failed and he was tossed out into the street and broke the fall with his face! He's doing better, and even had his hair cut last weekend and donated it to Locks Of Love (like Sal!).

I got to meet him at San Diego this year, as did a ton of folks! Shorty gets around and makes friends everywhere he goes.

He was much happier to meet She-Hulk than me- but hey, I can't blame him!

He loves getting mail, and he's even got his own myspace page now.

Yeah, it's been a lot of fun. Jon Carroll was cool enough to run it around for me when I was behind my table.

I really got a kick out of seeing some of Katie Cook's sketches. I've got to pick me up a set of watercolors for sure!

PS- Heard from Shorty's mom that he had his Jedi braid cut off this week. Some of the local Jedi Knights came over and performed the ceremony for him. His mom said he loved it.
