PT Should Darth Tyrannus have used Sith Lightning?

And as I say Sidious meant business, Dooku I don't think did, he was showing off rather than using it as a tool of destruction, at least to me,

anyway, I suppose what I'm saying is that Palpatine's lightning wasn't all that impressive to me, but eh

It seems Palpasidious enjoys torturing his victims before the final blow, he's a monster and a sadist

 

I have no problem with Tyranus using force lightning since he is just a novice at it and not a master of it like Palps.

 

I enjoy him using it, he's not a pro with it like Sidious, of course.

 

I would argue that 75% or more of what Dooku did with taking Anakin out had to do with him using telekenesis to slam him up against the wall, knocking him unconcious. The lightning was just to make it sting a little more.

 

It seems the lightning is more about inflicting pain than being an effective tactic. Same with choking.

 

Not true at all.

A lightsaber is a physical weapon. It can be destroyed or taken away. But Force Lightning is an intrinsic ability. This is made plain when Mace disarms Palpatine only to be confronted with a torrent of deadly lightning.

Also, Force Lightning is a ranged weapon. It doesn't require you to get up close and personal like lightsabers do. We see this when Palpatine blasts Yoda across the room without getting up from his chair.
