Should Ep3 have 70's style haircuts to help bridge the PT with the OT?

Hmmm... Ep3 is 20 years before the OT. 20 years before the 70's... was the 50's. In the 50's, people didn't have 70's style haircuts. Nor did they 20 years later, in the 90's. It would help bridge things, but I always thought the hairstyles there could change as quickly as they do here.

I always pictured a long-haired Anakin. Not only to show the style, but to show his rebellion towards to the Jedi Council.

Obi's is long in AOTC, but in ANH is short.

There aren't really any characters that the hair would fit except Anakin. I say yes!

Check out the Art of AOTC book. Some initial sketches of Anakin had him with long hair that resembled Vader's helmet. Pretty cool look for Ep 3 if you ask me

 

I voted "yes" because it would be fun to see the old styles come back (I was 11 when SW first came out). Really, though, it would be unnecessary. Twenty years will pass between Eps. III and IV. Much can change regarding styles.

 

not the hair cuts as much as the bad filming and horrible acting from the main character. that would bridge the gap quite nicely.

 

I'm possitive that ewan is going to have the beard and the alec guinness like mullet.. I think that it will just make him seem even more like alec... as for anakin I think he'll lose the padawan brade, maybe a thicker hair cut.

Anakin should have the Aquanet hairdo of General Crix Madine from ROTJ. Easily the worst 'do of the whole series.

 

Umm... Luke was the only one in A New Hope to have a seventies hairstyle. And as an infant, I doubt he'll have much hair at all.

Anyways, Peter Jackson pulled it off in The Fellowship of the Ring without it seeming out of place. So my answer is: I don't care.
