Should Episode III have soda can collectibles?

I liked these cans for TPM, they were cool and then for some reason AOTC had crappy promotion(3D pics were cool) but I would like soda cans for EPIII at least anyone agree with me?

YES. Definately... I love Pepsi, and STAR WARS on it would make it even better! They better have Palpy and Jar Jar on there! Oh... and man, now Jango couldn't be on it, he's dead! (Jango Fett Rocks!)

well, pepsi didnt do the cans this year bcuz TPM sucked and they thought AotC would too, and that would be a waste of advertisment. so they may do it if they got their confidence back. personnaly i loved the 3d things but nothin can beat cans

First of all TPM is a fine piece of film
and doesn`t suck.
Did anyone know that Pepsi spent 2 BILLION US dollars for the right on the Pepsi cans?

I wish those bottle caps with mini busts,
figures or ships on them
( Japanese Pepsi exclusives for AOTC )
would have also been released in the
U.S.

Billy Dee Binks... I have a few of those Japanese Pepsi bottle toppers from TPM... I wasn't aware they had the same promotion for AOTC. I'll have to check it out on ebay.

I don't think soda cans would be a good idea...

The main reason that marketing for Episode I failed was due to super-over-saturation. Consequence: Episode II marketing was wholly under-saturated.

Honestly, its a waste of Pepsi, if you guys are just going to buy up cases and cases, only to collect them because they have Star Wars all over them.

 

It would have been better if you didn't have to be a case just to get a new character.

While I think ATOC or EpIII cans would be cool, I probably wouldn't collect them. I have heard so many horror stories from other collectors about it

And yes, they have AOTC bottle toppers. One of my COOLEST friends went to Tiwan this summer for a month to visit family, and when he came back he brought me some!! They are really quite neat.

I have Padme' (Arena), Dooku (head bust), Royal Guard( full body), Sidious Hologram, and Poggle the Lesser.

 

How were those sold?

 

I hope the cans come back for Episode III. They were good at the time.

 

I collect pop cans from all over the world and was sad to see only 4 cans available for EPII worldwide. I hope that they make more of them when EPII comes out. I also collect those Japanese bottle tops and need to complete my collection one of these days...

 

Perhaps if you get a thumbtack and puncture the bottom of the can you can drink the liquid and have a can that looks like it hasn't been opened.

 

The problem with saving soda cans with the soda still inside, is that it is under pressure and the cans have a finite shelf life.

The only way to keep them for any length of time without exploding, is to keep them refrigerated and temperature controlled.

 

And you could use your interactive r2-d2 to hold the cans.

 

I liked the cans. Because I'm fairly young I sometimes have problems collecting when I'm so short of money, but I found that I could beg the cans off of friends who didn't care. I even had some friends who would make sure they set them aside for me when they opened a case.

 

yeah,the cans were great,I was a little dissaponited when they didn't have them for Aotc.
