Should I buy "The Approaching Storm?"

Definately.

It is a great, well written book which gives a wonderful perspective on Anakin and Obi-Wan which will probably help for the upcoming movie.

It also has a very interesting plot showing the unrest of the people of the Republic and the growing debate over whether it is a good thing or not.

If your just worried about price, then maybe you should wait, but I would recommend reading it before you see AotC.

 

Personally, I'm going to wait until after AOTC to read it.

 

I'd buy it. It's a good read, but all the natives turn in to one after a while.

But I would have bought it anyways. It's pretty good so far

 

I just bought it two days ago, and I'm already on Chapter 6. So far, it's proved to be pretty good. I wouldn't say it's movie quality, but for a book it's a good story for a book. The books that are said to take place in the Prequel time period interest me the most since we're getting the new movies now. I also bought Cloak of Deception because ever since TPM, I've been really interested in Darth Sidious/Palpatine.

But anyway, go buy The Approaching Storm.

 

I just finished. It was pretty good. Like "Cloak of Deception," it give great political background and sets the atmosphere for the movie.

Bib, I recommend not to wait. If anything, it'll help you understand character's motives in the movie.
