ST Should Luke be a Virgin?

This is a serious post.

I ask this because if we do learn more about Lukes past in Episode 7......

Is it better for his character to have been in a relationship in the past (maybe even have a kid?)

Or do you feel that his character like most Jedi before him should remain a virgin?

In the old EU he got married and had a child. Should the new continuity then also give him a relationship pre-TFA?

Luke was a grown ass man years before he became a Jedi. I would find it odd to suggest, in a wide open galaxy, a good looking man like Luke wouldn't have had a sexual relationship before he ever became Jedi, hell likely before we ever saw him in ANH.

Not only should he not be a virgin, there should be a live action to series chronicling his exploits

I know it was never stated in the PT, but Lucas did go on record and say that the Jedi weren't celibate. They were only forbidden from forming attachments.

 

Seriously? Jedi were the kings and queens of one-night stands then?

Ah George .... and again, as for Luke, i would like to think that the hotshot pilot who destroyed DS1 and the young Commander of Echo Base when he wasn't mooning over his sister, got up to .. stuff... especially when he had the likes of Jyn Erso around (and even if she isn't anyone's mother)
