Anakin was three when the came to Tatooine. It's possible she had kids that were 10 or older. Slave masters don't really care about keeping families intact.

I just had a vaguely interesting thought, what if force sensitivity is only passed on from males, kind of like the opposite of mitochondrial inheritance? Qui Gon asks who Anakin's father was, after all.

 

The funniest part is down at the bottom when the author tried to pitch another Callista-only novel with the Lucasfilm was basically doing this

 

You all should be happy you never read the Calista trilogy of Children of the Jedi, Darksaber and Planet of Twilight.

Lets seen now...

There was the beautiful young Senator from Bakura who thought used of the Force only imbalanced everything and was destructive.

There was numerous female Imperial agents trying to kill him (not named Mara Jade).

There was any number of Dathomiri force witches he could have got with.

There was Callista Ming

There was Akanah Norand Goss Pell, who lied about knowing who is mother and slept with him, while keeping him out of most of the BFC plot.

I'm sure I've missed some. But yeah, for those who hate Mara Jade...it could have been worse (and in quite a few books, it was).

 

We'll have to wait and see. Which is the hardest part.

We'll see if Lucas wrote it in the Story Treatments or if Disney or someone else decides to add it later.

 

Well, I for one hope there are more cool, strong female characters in supporting roles in the ST than we've had in the movies so far.
Someone more competent than Asajj Ventress, if that female is Sith.
A cool supporting character could also be made somewhat like Starbuck from Galactica - a pilot, smuggler, officer, bounty hunter.

And to have it shown that she's badass in the actual movie, not have someone write them up later on in a Mofference or some other cluster**** like that...

 

So someone (well actually more then one someone) kind of like Mara Jade?

 

Yeah, well I guess Mara Jade has kind of done everything in the universe so pretty much any suggestion someone makes people can point and say "Oh, just like Mara Jade."

I'm beginning to see why there is such sharp division on this topic.
