I'm thinking that it would have been great to have a sweeping theme for Padmé, one in the same style as Princess Leia's Theme or Luke & Leia. One thing I don't like about the PT music is that we didn't get very many new full-fledged themes. I mean, the OT was constantly churning out new themes, always having multiple themes for each movie, such as The Imperial March, Yoda's Theme, and the Han and Leia love theme for TESB, and ROTJ introduced two themes, Parade of the Ewoks and Luke & Leia. However, the PT lacked majorly in new themes, only producing usually one theme for each film, Duel of the Fates, Anakin's Theme, Across the Stars, and Battle of the Heroes.

I just think that having a theme, concert arrangement-style, for Padmé, would have been great.

Don't forget The Trade Federation theme, that was my favourite of them. :p

And to answer to the question, yes, it would have been good.

    Let me see:

    ANH:
    Leia's Theme
    Luke's Theme
    Force Theme
    ANH Vader Theme
    ANH Empire/Death Star Theme

    ESB:
    Imperial March
    Han & Leia
    Yoda's Theme

    RotJ:
    Ewok's Theme
    Luke & Leia
    The Emperor's Theme
    Jabba's Theme

    TPM:
    Anakin's Theme
    DotF
    Trade Federation Theme
    Jar-Jar's Theme

    AotC:
    Across the Stars
    'Mystery' theme

    RotS:
    Battle of the Hero's
    Grevious' Theme

    I'd say they're about even.

    Did I miss any?

Padmé did have a theme in Episode I. Check out the high flute motif in "Queen Amidala Warns the Federation" and "Anakin in Group to Coruscant" (Ultimate Edition). This is also present in low orchestral registers in "The Senate," "Anakin's Test," and "Darth Sidious Receives News of the Gungan Army." This theme would be reprised in Episode III when the Emperor announces the formation of the Empire ("Anakin's Dark Deeds," 1:22). Of course, with that in mind, this is really more of a "political" theme.

A couple statements of Padmé's theme you won't find on the UE are a short snippet cut from the beginning of "Queen Amidala Warns the Federation" and an alternate version of the sunset music in "Anakin's Test."

By the way, for those who says the prequels don't have many themes, Episode I has a theme for Darth Maul (no, not the Duel of the Fates chants), a "Galactic Peace" theme, Qui-Gon's theme, Shmi Skywalker's theme, and a million of the old ones intertwined with the new. Episode II has a mystery theme, a Kamino motif, a Separatist theme, a vague Anakin's theme (different from the Episode I theme), and very sly use of the Emperor's theme and other older themes. Episode III is the least on themes, but it definitely has BotH, Grievous's theme, and a Mustafar motif which shows up in "Enter Lord Vader" and the unreleased "Padmé's Visit."

You have all forgotten the Rebel Fanfare, Jawa motif, Boba's motif, the Betrayal theme, the Escape motif, and the Desperation motif.

Guys, I'm not talking about little motifs that last 15 seconds. I'm talking about full-fledged themes with concert arrangements.

Yeah, it would've been nice if Amidala had a theme. I think John Williams could have come up with something great, to go along with some of the other wonderful scores like Battle of the Heroes, Across the Stars, and Anakin's Theme from the prequel trilogy. Oh well, crap.

Nah, because then you could say that the Han and Leia love theme is Leia's theme.

By formal concert tracks (not motifs) the only "themes" are

    Luke (main title)
    Leia
    Yoda
    Vader (Imperial March)
    Han and Leia
Anakin and Padme (Across the Stars)
    Jawas (Little People Work)
Jabba (In Jabba's Palance, the end is a concert version not in the movie)
    Duel of the Fates
    Battle of Heroes
Luke and Leia (Brother and Sister)
    Ewok (Forest Parade)
    Rebel Fanfare

Jedi/Force Theme and Sith/Emperor themes never appear in a concert track, but few will deny thier existance.

That leaves alot of characters without themes: Han, Chewie, Obiwan, Jango, Boba, Maul, Lando, Dooku, Padme, the Droids, and Grevious never are given full themes, just motifs (if even.

There's also a concert arrangement of "The Asteroid Field".

And the Force theme has "The Throne Room"....

And obviously, not everyone and everything could have a theme....:p

But I think it is considered as Han's theme, too.

"Han Solo and the Princess" doubles as Han's theme. For example, it plays when Han rides out to rescue Luke, and when the Falcon takes off from Hoth.

"Don't forget the Forest Battle concert arrangment! "

I'm not, but we were talking about concert versions of particular themes, a category The Forest Battle doesn't fall into.....

I recall Padme having a rather distinct theme when she was on screen. It sounded like an audience full of people snoring.

    [face_tired] ZZZZZZZZ!

    " pwn3d! "

    Not so!

The concert arrangement of The Asteroid Field is based entirely around the Asteroid field theme, leaving out the Imperial March and the Love theme.

Alright, I have taken it upon myself to compose a theme for Padme. And it sucks so far! But I'll make a MIDI and let you know when it's done.

There was a theme for Greneral Grevious.

Listen to the first part of Grevoius Speaks to Lord Sidious. It's there.
