Oceania Should the aussie board colours be changed?

I don't think it's hard to read, but a change would be good. It's been a while.

 

I'd like to see dark blue and grey or something. Something mean and scary, red is wussy.

 

To be completley honest, the Aussie board's colours always strike me as being bland

 

These ones HAVE been here a while...

In fact they've been here so long that I can't even remember how/why we picked them.

Tell you what? Why don't we have a competition? Save this thread to your computer, fool around with the style sheet until you get something you like, then show us - we'll vote for the best ones.

Time limit: a month? Two? Three?

If we're gonna do it, we may as well go the whole way and do banners, too.

You don't have to do both, just one or the other. But whatever time limit we decide on will hold for both.

And one other thing to remember: these aren't something that can, or should, be changed often. This is the first time in...I don't know. But whatever we choose now for colours is with a view to permanent.

Although as long as the banners are hosted by someone here, we can change them as often as we like. Don't worry about webspace - I've got my own that'll be fine to host them, so I'll just do the hosting myself.

 

I like it just fine. If you change it and it doesn't burn my retinas I will like it too.

Well, I think I can deal with the colours but I vote for a definate banner change...

 

Yeah, this place needs a make over. What about a seasonal thing like the good ole tf.n does?

 

the seasonalthing could be good, maybe we can educate some ignorant northern types about the southern seasons

Um...I don't know, personally I'd prefer to stay AWAY from those colours...

 

I don't think the New Zealanders would like a Green & Gold look. But you're on the right track!!!!

And why do the New Zealanders get their own board while we have to share ours with them?

Yeah we'd appreciate a Non Gold and green board likewise with black catering for you.

Interesting point though, is this now just the "Australian" general forum? It used to be Aus/NZ. We only have one board due to our size being that of one of your states. I like this board being a combo of the two countries. I guess it's prolly cause the majority of people posting here are Aussies.

 

This basically is the Australian board anyway. It wouldn't be much of a change

 

White on Blue is pretty funky!

 

I'd suggest pink, but that could cause trouble. Even with that trouble maker gone.

 

You don't want a brown and orange-brown theme, we've kinda got that going on the WA Boards...

Also, with changing the banners/colour theme... You need to find a neutral colour scheme coz otherwise the banner looks a little odd, unless the colours used in the banner match the colour scheme...

Oh God no. I still have nightmares about the Valentines Day colour scheme TFN used back in February.

I'm not too bothered either way. If people want a change then I'm fine with that.

 

Uhhh, this colour background was meant to remind us of Palpy....his guards wear crimson uniforms, and his office was also quite crimson.

 

Ah, symbolism...Palpy's guards forever surrounding the rebellion banner...

||||||||||||| for the red bit at the top with your username, logoff, private messages, options etc. Then the same colour for the thread links. (eg: aussie & NZ pillow fight would have maroon font) and a sought of darkbluish background where the white is now.
