We all know the Solo line from ANH ..."strong enough to pull ears off a gundark".

Missed opportunity for some great mental images?

I agree. For a while actually I thought I was hearing Gungan until I put the captions on. Anyways I guess this is an opportunity to look up Gundark in The Essential Guide that I rarely look at.

...Wow, I never expected a Gundark to look like this. It's ears don't even seem to be its prominent feature although it is mentioned that they are large in the first paragraph. This thing has 4 arms, a Huge jaw with massive teeth. It also says that the reason the phrase "...strong enough to pull the ears off a Gundark" is used is because their ears grow to the same width of their heads during puberty. During puberty their strength peeks.

I for many years thought he said Gondor Ox. I Must admit that I wouldn't mind seeing jar jar's ears being pulled off by a wookie.

The first time I heard it in TESB, I thought he said "gun dart".
