How do you want the sequel trilogy to look and feel, more like the classic OT or like the modern PT?

Personally, I want them to make the new films just like the OT. Having grown up on the PT and matured the two trilogies almost seem incomparable, The OT is far better in style and narrative. The acting in the PT just looks so damn wooden and the overuse of green screens just adds to the fake plastic feel of the films. I want to see real sets and models, and actors who can use these environments to immerse themselves in the world and act on par with the Original Trilogy.

There were more models, locations, props, and practical effects in each prequel than there were in IV-VI.

And the OT professional critics were just like you, they thought the acting was wooden.

Me, I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll make a Star Wars movie.

I want to have their own look and feel, it's inevitable that will have more OT elements than PT and that's good. So far i didn't find anything to complain about how their going to do (rely on more practical effects, location shoots, shooting on 35mm) the screenwriter and director are good at they do.

Well, at least this thread is honest about what it aspires to. It comes straight out as a conversation about OT vs. PT; it doesn't start out as a discussion of 35mm vs. digital and mutate into one...

I want it to be its own thing - how else could we really have the heated OTvsPTvsST discussions on these boards for years to come if the ST is too similar to earlier movies? ;)

Another OT vs. PT argument brewing here. With no other real topic to discuss, this doesn't warrant its own thread... locking.
