FF:NZ Should we have a Social Thread?

I thinks its about time, somewhere where we can talk about anything and everything, whether it be SW related or not. theres been talk about one for ages.

well, OK. but its not instantly recognisable as a Social thread. I mean, the kind of thread I'm talking about is the ne where you don't need a reason to go to... for some reason I dont feel that way about the chit chat thread. Maybe its just me.

 

Social = chit chat.


What ever - get a mod to add the words "Social thread" to the end then

What happened to our girls social thread, where we used to talk about cute guys and share chocolate? That was great.

After about 6 posts every thread here seems to morph into a social one.

I always thought the Chit-chat thread has too much sports in it. Or maybe it's another one, I don't remember. Don't particularly want a specific social thread though, like jp said, that happens to most of them after 6 posts, lol.

I've noticed some of the other fanforces have a 'Episode III spoiler discussion thread'. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in one of those, here, or whether the non-spoilerees would find it annoyingly tempting.

I would like see all EP3 talk left on the other boards

 

Hate to be anti this, but I'm not sure if I want to be spoilt yet, and if / when I take the effort to check the other boards, I will have made that choice. If there was a spoiler thread here, it would be too tempting to just click it, and I'm just not sure yet.

I have free will, just no self control. I figure, sub-consciously, I can't be too fussed at this stage about spoilers, or I would have actively seeked them out and found them. So I can't be interested - but if they were readily availble to view
(ie: on this board) I may look. It's just the slight bit more effort to go find them that must be keeping me from being spoilt, and I'd rather by sub-conscious tell me I'm ready for spoilers than having them right in my face.

i do understand.......i use a similiar theory about study and games.....which worked fine till i got a gameboy SP, now the games follow me everywhere

I just hang out in the Episode III: Spoilers & Non-Spoilers Cantinas.

 

You know, you don't exactly need a committee decision on making a social thread. One of you can just go make one, and see if people post in it. The success of the thread should pretty much answer the initial question.

My dad grew in Denmark when it was occupied by Nazis. My wife's parents & grandparents left the former Yugoslavia because they weren't members of the Communist party and as a consequence were persecuted. Try telling any of them about the supposed lack of freedom here and they'll just laugh ...

You're lucky you live in a democracy, pal, and if you can't see the relative freeddom you have here in New Zealand then you're even more stupid than I first thought.
