Hey folks...kinda thought this was a fun idea, aw it on the hacking forums.
Post a picture of you editing setup.
I know some people here have a pretty impressive editing suite set up in their homes and I personaly find it someone "inspirational" to see them...and it's good fun.

So yeah, show us what you got, and ive us some details :)

PS: I'll post mine when I get home from filmschool.

I don't have any pictures, but there's not much to see.. it's just a PC sitting on a desk. About the only piece of "equipment" I have is a microphone for recording ADR and whatever sounds I can make within reach of the wire.

    Basic, I know.
Just a 3ghz, 1gig RAM, endless HDD space and a duel monitor setup with the TV.
Stereo is more or less for recording sounds instead of outputting them...oh, and the white thing the left speaker is on...that's my mini subwoofer. Stupid spot to put it though.
Oh, and cause the pic's a wee bit old, just add in a Sony amplifier in there under the TV ;)

It may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts.

    [image=http://www.andygarfield.com/setup.jpg]

It's normally not a total mess like that. I was transcribing the FAQ for the site.

That's an aluminum bust of Lenin on the left monitor speaker. =)

Computer desktop is Mysterious Island at Tokyo Disney Sea.

Hey Andy that's a nice lil setup. Small ones are always great.
Nice to see a music keyboard there also, I'll be adding one to mine as soon as I get the cash.
I've got a trip back to Ireland to pay for before I can start adding stuff :(

Oh and as for my film school, it's in Perth, Australia. Just a government funded course, best in my state and on par with the best in the country.
Lot's of money going into the Australian Film Industry these days :)

Here's a pic of the camera I'm currently using and a small bit of our sound equipment.

    Worked for me too.

Hmm, I'm still in the process of moving my computers around so a pic would not be a cool thing right now...perhaps when I'm done lol. Right now my area looks like a computer shop. :-B

    HAH!

I was totally kidding. I sold mine at a garage sale years ago. Analog no longer has any meaning to me.

Yeah, it's that messy about 60% of the time :p

The system specs aren't that great anymore. 2 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 10 GB and 92 GB hard drives. Sound setup really sucks, guess that's why I'm a VFX guy :)

The TV is technically as a dual-monitor setup. In reality, I don't use it for anything but presenting movies, often to a test audience up here at school.

Just wait 'till I'm back home and the computer rests on a plastic tote.

Also, the external hard drive isn't here. I left it at home this week because it's the last week of classes and I didn't want to get distracted by editing.

Edit: And I still can't see the pics. "Can't find http://www.backyardproductions.co.uk."

Nothing fancy in here. TV is connected to the PC (very slow 1.2GHZ!) and used for editing. Sound isn´t that great but good enough for what I need.
