Signs You have Seen E2 Too Many Times...

- You start saying the lines under your breath along with the movie...

- Your basically watching now to see how many editing mistakes you can catch and you make a game out of it with your friends to see who can catch the most

- You can swear the movie was different form the last time you saw it

- The ticket taker says "Havent you already seen this?" to you as you walk in (its happened to me 3 times already)

What about you guys what signs do you see/show that indicate you may have seen E2 too many times (if such a thing is possible)

 

The last couple times I haven't gotten goose bumps when "Star Wars" comes onto the screen, which normally would happen any time I see that (theater or DVD).

How about this:

You have memorized the opening scrolling text,

I have not done this yet... and dont just pull up a bootleg and type it on here, thats just beng wierd

 

You only pay attention to the background and ignore the main characters.

 

1- say every single line with the characters and the people around tell you to be quiet.
2- you start looking for things you've missed and looking for interesting characters other than padme and anakin.
3- realize star wars is not real
4. know your favorite parts and know when they appear, so you can go get food or popcorn whenever you want too . . .

 

Signs you have seen AOTC too many times:

* You try and open doors with two fingers a la Obi-Wan on Kamino
* You make the seismic charge noise when there's a quiet moment in the office
* You start reversing your sentences like Yoda
* You know all the lines to the footage that has been edited out
* You know what Jango says to Boba in Huttese in his Kamino apartment
* You say 'Boe-ba' like Taun-We AND 'Bob-Ah' like Temeura Morrison
* You find yourself mouthing the words, "YOU fell into that nightmare, master, and I rescued you, remember?"
* You find yourself watching the corners of the screen to catch all the little details
* You know where the Millennium Falcon easter eggs are
* You think Taun-We is... "hot" ?
* You want a mullet like Obi's

Hmmm... maybe I have seen AOTC too many times. But I still laugh my ass off when I see the Nexu jump that Geonosian Picador... that bit is BRILLIANT!

You hum the entire score throughout the movie... I can do it throughout most of the movie.

My 6yr old son does that to every sliding door we come to! I think it's neat. My wife just thinks it's weird.

 

how about being on a first name basis with the ticket takers??

You know every scene so well that you know the exact time you can go to the bathroom, get soda, etc.

Plus, while you're gone, you can still mouth the lines until you get back into the theater, like you've never missed a beat

Now THAT is seeing the movie too many times!

 

i think i've seenit too many times . . . but heck its been only 4 times . .. i need to go see it more.

5. you're bored and there is nothing to do so you go to the movie theater and buy a tix to AOTC and the ticekt person says "oh no not you again and gives you the ticket."
6. you know exactly how much the ticekts cost at a matinee and at regular price and have the exact change for it.
7. know all the movie times so when making plans with friends you know hen you have to leave.
8. start talking like padme or anakin when you're with you significant other or tell then the exact lines they said to each other in teh firplace scene when you are in a fight with them.

 

they give you a discount on popcorn and reserve your seat?

 

Have you guys started watching the movie form different angles?? I have the first two times i saw it front and center... WOW! that rocked, but Ive started sittign in other places in the theater to get a different expiece.. and it really is.

 

You know you've seen EP2 too many times...

When you can't wait to hear George Lucas's husky-voiced commentary during the Fireplace-My-Heart-Is-In-Agony scene, when the DVD comes out.

Alternatively: You DO the commentary in the cinema during that scene because you JUST KNOW what George Lucas would say.

 

when you memorize the coreography of the lightsaber battle, yoda's included.

You've seen EP2 too many times when you can finally see the connection between AOTC and Riverdance.

 

when you walk into the theater and people shout out your name like in Cheers.

 

When you walk up to the ticket desk and before you can speak the staff person says

"Star Wars, right"

Other than that, boohoo. You can't see Star Wars too many times. Its just not possible.

In reply to the person who's son tries to open doors like Obi Wan. At least your kid is normal. My kid can actually do it. He does Jedi mind tricks on us weak minded fools to get all the latest toys.
He even uses the force to chock us Vader style.
We only think good thoughts of our little boy.
He's a good boy.

 

When you sing the Opening Scrolling Text to the Star Wars Fanfare... in Klingon.

 

You laugh with Obi Wan when he and Anakin are talking about falling into that pit of gundarks.

 

The force is strong with him, that much is certain, but his feeble skill are no match for me!
