They never showed the new trailer here when FotR was re-released, but it was plaing at an artsy theatre last week with the new trailer. Of course, I didn't find out until the day after it was finished

Hmm...reasonably reliable rumours on TTT, and not all of them look good. Sil, pay close attention to what they say about Elrond and the Elves, I'm not sure I like this...

Actually I kind of figured as much.

I knew that Arwen must go to Helm's Deep and because she would never go alone that Elrond and the Elves of Rivendell would come also.

The fact that she looks in the Mirror makes a bit of sense - that shot from all the trailers of Arwen in that red dress seems to be from there.

There's not much that irks me. The book is clearly never going to be transferred unscathed, so we've just got to go along with PJ's version.

 

Yes, but leaving Rivendell because of Saruman? Elrond's ring is supposed to have a lot of power over that valley, it doesn't make sense that they'd run to Rivendell.

Oh well, it'll still be a good movie.

 

I was in Blockbuster recently and if you buy a 10 week card that gives you a new release each week, you get a free copy of LotR.

I asked and apparently it's the same copy that goes on sell-thru, so if you hire out movies at all, it's a pretty good deal.

 

Oh, it was $36.95 and it's released on August 6th still.
