i dont get all of the jokes but its pretty funny none the less. i think if it was TOO accessible it'd be terrible, (like the big bang theory), so ill take it in stride

christopher evan welch's performance is freaking brilliant. he's perfectly captured a particular, very familiar kind of neurosis-riddled human being (the speech patterns, the dry cadence, the posture and the way he holds his hands). but its making me depressed because he's died last year and rubicon (which he was also brilliant in) got cancelled before its time

Normally I'd be annoyed at missing tonight's premier (IE: DVR'ing it), but thankfully HBO will repeat it about 700 times during this upcoming week, so I'll be able to easily watch it. It looks intriguing.

The pilot is alright and I don't recall a joke I didn't "get," so ha, I'm smarter. Hopefully it doesn't get too Judge-y with caricatures or Idiocracy dysgenics or something.

yeeeeaaaahhhh when i first made that post i hadnt finished the episode and i later realized that i just had to go back and listen to the line again. i pretty much got all of it

yeah im hoping it stays comfortably non-judgey. tho i appreciate that the main character pretty blatantly "miltons" a lot as part of his spergy mannerisms :p

As someone who grew up, lives in, and works in Silicon Valley I can tell you there are not nearly enough Indians on this show.

I laughed a lot at the latest episode. The technical problems sequence and the guy getting really angry about it, the extremely graphic "logo," etc.

I caught the last episode and was cracking up over the technical problems. I might go back and watch the previous episodes.

wow, that was probably the best last few seconds of an episode of a comedy series ever :p

i just noticed on the wiki page it says christopher evan welch had completed scenes "for the first five episodes" when he died.... which i guess implies we've already seen the last on-screen appearance of peter gregory. shame. brilliant character, and well played

also, reminder that this is a 8 episode season, so we can look forward to the season finale next week. i wonder where they'll leave things for season 2?

Season finale's not for two weeks, because of Memorial Day.

I'm amazed that the UK had the IT Crowd years and years before Big Bang Theory was even an inkling in Chuck Lorre's imagination, and what we're getting now is nowhere near as good as that.

Silicon Valley is excellent though. They've greenlit a second season?

I wonder if we'll get a recast of the Gregory character or if he will just be written out of the story with a Gregory-lite character plugged into the mix. Either way, Welch's incarnation will be missed because it was quite good.

That final was so good. The inspiration for the new algorithm was just excellent, and the figures on the whiteboard in the hotel room... Lolol.
