one of the greatest movies I've seen. when I saw the movie I was surprised at how almost every line of dialogue from the graphic novels were used word for word. my favorite character has got to be Marv. Mickey Rourke did a fantastic job portraying him. i can't wait for Sin City 2 which is due out sometime in 2007. the current word is it's going to be based off of the graphic novel A Dame to Kill For. i haven't read that one yet but it takes place before the events in the first movie. so we should have a lot of returning cast members.

I really liked Sin City, mainly for the visual style. Some of the acting was really hacky (eg. Michael Madsen, Brittany Murphy), but for the most part is was definitely worth the ticket money, the price of the first DVD, and the price of the Recut version.

I really liked it. From the real comic book feel, visual style, dialog and action, it's superb, the best comic movie out there.

    one of the best quotes

Rourke: "Will killing a helpless old fart like me bring you satisfaction my son?"

Marv: "The killing? No. Everything leading up to that will be a blast."

Great cinematography. I'll give it that. But I didn't like the editing of how all four stories were intertwined. Very very confusing.

Why would you consider it Science Fiction or Fantasy?

The Yellow ******* is a fantastical character and the world is pretty fantastic in it's own sense.

It's a Fantasy. Because of Jessica Alba. Case closed.

[face_laugh] [face_laugh] That was a pretty good one. Ya gotta love how Marv treats something like that as something he does for fun. :p

Great cinematography. I'll give it that. But I didn't like the editing of how all four stories were intertwined. Very very confusing.

If you get a chance, watch the mucho macho extended directors cut edition, cause in there the four stories are split up, like they were in the comics.
