Ah the pain RP. I remember it all too well. One joyous week before it begins. THE EXAMS. Does it still work like that? But with pain comes glory. 2-3 months of deserved rest, unless you're stupid enough to go straight into the workforce.

 

Ahh Lute, it has been well documented that I'm a humanities bum and plan to avoid the workforce and live off the system (and others) for as long as I can... This is the plan. BTW, we get 3 days reprieve between the end of school and the start of exams, but most of the time in between now and then is revisions/valedictory stuff...

 

Yes, as long as you can, that's the way! When I'm finished I'll have a Cert IV, two Diplomas and a Bachelor!! I should then proceed to a masters, and a doctorate.

Ha. Everyone must be at school now. So quiet in here. Like a ghost town.

 

It was 22 years ago that I said farewell to school.....(finished my HSC when I was 14 if you want to work out my age) and boy are there times when I really miss it.

I know that sounds strange to those of you still in school, but just think about it.

At school you get to:

Hang out with your mates
Take an hour for lunch (and get a morning break)
Take Christmas and all public holidays off
Tell the teacher where to go and not get fired.

The list goes on......

Enjoy the freedom of youth and the fun of school while you have it.

Four weeks leave per year and all the stress that goes with working lasts a lifetime.

 

Well said. I've just gone back to school this year. And what a life a freedom and fun its been. The years at work were a pain. Cherish what you have younguns.

Aww... poor TJ. Never mind my dear boy, you might find that not having the opposite sex is a wonderful way to actually pass without perving throughout the class room. On the otherhand, it does lead to more wedgies and fights in the school yard. I feel your pain my dear boy, but at the same time, I do not suffer it. Well, just keep slugging away and you will be done in no time...

Oh well Your wrong about the Wedgies But I was in a fight Just afew days ago. Call me a monster But I enjoyed it, When being watched by people as you punch and grab at your oppentent I Hate too say it but its a rage of energy... and just cause I lost doesn't mean you can laugh!

 

DJTJ, I know your pain completely. I've been going to a boys-only school since year 9, and it is all the more painful because I knew the mixed blessings of a co-ed system: a whole lot more fun, but it can be difficult to concentrate on your work sometimes...
