SNG singaporean teen need help

im almost giving up in finding figurines for the ATC, those that are left are anakin and ami+good ole obi1.....but wat im really interested in is the clone troopers!!! if anyone is selling pls reply or if u noe any place in singapore that u think i can still find 1 thx alot. any help will be deeply appreciated.

 

Try Isetan at Parkway Parade. I think I saw some there...it's worth a shot

 

Dont worry the new wave comes with the clone trooper as well try carefour, toys'r'us marina square or taka bec. of the fair now. That's for the departmental stores. But for confirm can get places would be clarke Quay hourstor and the flea market.

By the way i manage to find a place that sells the clone troopers but at a cut throat price $25.90!! the place is situated at HEEREN 5th floor-the toy shops sells them. Actually i bought frm the that has a 2 in 1 package at $29.90...hehe now im goin to find the royal guards tomolo at clarke quay...anybody wanna come along? lol ! ive never been there but the forum veterans aka senior jedis hav very good remarks about them so im goin there tomolo. prolly afternoon.

I'm more lucky than you Solidnono, I managed to get most of the figures I want but am just missing the Yoda. I saw a stall at The Plaza (Bukit Panjang) selling YODA. I asked him how much and he says "$29.9"!!! I hang that one back onto the peg and walks off.

By the way, try retail and I have so far manage to get the less usual one ie Massiff, Anakin Hanger Duel, Count Dooku and all of them not exceeding S$17.9

Im back! frm clarke quay, HOURSTORE was not open and i manage to buy my royal guards and made frens with a frenly auntie frm the particular shop that a "LUOHAN" fish. she told me to wait for them to import AOTC figurines and they would sell it at a cheaper price around there. how cheap? we shall noe....also i bought a OBI WAN and DARTH MAUL EPIC FORCE Figures that allows u to turn them and pose them with a wheelat the bottom of the stand for $6.00!!! yes 2 for $6.00. though it belongs to ep1. oh yah found the WHITE clonetroopers todae too.very happy :>

 

Actually, Maul & OB1 Epic Force was going on sale at John Little for $2.50(?) each last year. I bought one more (before I paid $5-20 for it at Taka's SW sale in 2000) but when I came back a few days later, they were all gone. Not sure if I did get OB1 too as I packed them away after buying (not enough space to display, lah! )

Anyhow, it's still a bargain.

As for the RG, is that the AOTC Red/Imperial Royal Guards?

 

yup its the AOTC red royal guard. i would suggest to wait for the shop that i mention in my previous post to import so we could get at prices lower than retail(i hope).lets juz say that i kenna "ketok" again, guess i really like the toy so much that i juz hav to hav it hehe.lol

 

I should assume you have bought the Royal Guard at $25 rite? I myself is a imperial guard siao too and I manage to find one at Taka for retail price.
As for the shop bringing in AOTC stuffs, I'm sceptical they will sell those below retail price... maybe figs like Anakin peasants and Obi-Wan coruscant chase would go lower but I doubt the rest. Hottie like RG, Yoda, Clone Troopers etc will at least go at $20.

Have you tried Carrefour? They sell figs at $15.9 you know? If you are on holliday now, its worth going early in the morning just before they open and I guess you will have a good field day

I went clarke quay today also. So disappointed that many of the shops didn't open. To save the day, i met one malay guy working in TRU (forum), i ask him disclose some inside info as to when certain figurines will be released. I ask him give me a call when chewie is out on display. Hope he doesn't play me out.

 

really!? wow that would really mean something to my wallet!! tomolo pick R2-D2 and whichever pleases me in carre but will still head down to hourstor for a look.

Okay guys, I'll do community service tomorrow (29 May 02) for everyone here!

I'll go to Carrefour, TOYS R US Forum, Taka, Robinson Centrepoint, John Little Specialist Centre and end my day at Daimaru Plaza Singapura.

I'll report all figures I found tomorrow evening, so youall can rush down at night before the stores close.

But may I suggest Hourstor, really, I'm a regular customer here since 1996-7 and I got all my Star Wars figs here, never missing any single. I got my Chewie here, Vader, even the latest Stormtrooper Builder set I got it from Hourstore at $48 for 4 super posable stormtroopers! Cool! All at $17.90!!!

I got 2 Imperial Royal guards at Taka around 4PM some days ago to accompany Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, so there's no need to go there early in the morning...

Guys, I went to Carrefour today..nothing much left. Still have Qui Gon but the rest are just the older figures. A few days ago there was Mace, Luke Bespin etc but no more now

 

so that means no more R2? guess the nearest place would be robinsons.sigh~

 

TRU Marine actually has the R2 in the Preview Edition (the green carded one) but no blue carded. Carrefour also does not have..

his behaviour in ep2 really interest me. how r2 get in queue to get food for padme and saves her frm swimming in molten iron and the way he and c3po argues and c3po cant win r2, hahahah.argh!~ got to get him.

 

Yes, I agree R2 and C3PO took more limelight than any of the other SW movies. But it really brings back the feel of the OT

 

hehehe i heard frm another fren that george lucas use them as comic relief in all the star war movies intentionally, guess it was really sucessful.

 

I went Taka today. Alot of luke, bout 20 vader, mace definitely excess, n afew jango final battle.

Solidnono - Sure they're comic relief, and their buddy/companion relationship through the six movies is heartwarming. But the real reason GL wanted them is because they are the "eyes" which tell the entire SW saga.
