*Sith vs.Jedi (formerly Emperor)*

Maul was not the greatest one my young Sith partner.

The Dark spirit of the mighty Exar Kun told me our time will come......

 

But to me he is the most impressive one.

Well, I didn't dream to come back and free all slaves but I hoped to get rid of the tyranical Empire.

Since TPM I've discovered that during the Old Republic many things weren't like they told us during the Rebellion.
The Senate was full of powerhungry, greedy ... you know the rest.

And the Jedi Council?
Little bit out of touch to their surroundings like "The Sith have been extincted for over a millenium".

That's why I've fallen to the Dark Side.

 

(Huh, no confusion here : Lady Jade and I are 2 distinct persons!)

Why would Palpy have necessarily been a Jedi at the time of TPM just because Jedis were still mighty? Evil always lurks and waits for its time to come...

They are a people who worship the darkside. They tried to persuade Jedi's to Join them. These Jedi became so called 'dark jedi's' Later on a Strong Dark Jedi would start to rule over the Sith, the so called Dark Lord of the Sith... That's just about all there is in BTM...
