In light of the ever-expanding material of the Star Wars saga, an exercise in brevity might also illustrate its depth. Brevity also is the soul of fan fic that can be completed in a reasonable length of time despite full-time obligations.

The format is taken from this inspiration:
    http://www.smithmag.net/sixwords/
    Six-Word Memoirs: The Legend
Legend has it that Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? ?For sale: baby shoes, never worn.?

Note that the character's name does not count towards the word count.

Era: Open to all eras, but I think the Saga Era will be the most fertile ground.

    Example:

    Chosen, yet rarely chose wisely.
    Anakin Skywalker

Um, I hate to say this, but isn't that seven words?

Cool idea for a thread, btw. :)

    That was fun.

Qui-Gon: Noble Jedi skewered by fate.

Yoda: So certain he was. Fool!

Jacen: Destroyed by his own hand

Obi-Wan - The perfect Jedi who failed anyway.

Han Solo - Scruffy exterior, but nerfherder at heart.

R2-D2 - Only whistles and beeps; still chatty.

    Edit: dianethx, I love the Qui-Gon one![face_laugh]

Edit the sequel: 'Cuz I can't spell.

Very cool. This is sort of like a very condensed version of a drabble.

Anakin Solo: Gone, yet not forgotten

C-3PO: Fussy and overbearing, yet invaluable

Thanks! I like this exercise quite a bit. It helped me with an OC just a little bit ago, so I'm ecstatic. In a similar vein: love the Palps one, Alexis!

Mace Windu - Second baddest dude. (Not good enough.)

Chewbacca - Big walking carpet and true friend.

Padmé - Emotion topples what reason builds.

Tarkin - Should not have destroyed Alderaan. Karma.

Lando - Slimy and smooth combined as cool.

Dexter Jettster - Information and grease. Only at Dex's!

Darth Vader - Twisted circle leads to good.

I love this thread! I really like your Padmé one, Onoto.

Mara Jade (Emperor's Hand) - Servant to Darkness, never Dark herself.

Anakin Skywalker - Freed when young, saved before death.

Thank you, Onoto, all of yours are terrific. I especially loved Dexter Jexter's and Tarken's.

Alexis, I snorted my drink through my nose when I read your Palpatine one. Hysterical!

Onoto, your Chewy and Tarkin were great too.

Myn Donos: In memorandum, the Talon Squad

Lara Notsil: Loyal Wraith from beginning to end

Hobbie Klivian: Always mournful, but never in mourning

Wes Janson: Behind youthful eyes, deadly cunning

Nelani: Short life sacrificed for the "greater good"

Thanks for the compliments, y'all. I've read lots of good ones, too.

Anakin Skywalker - A mama's boy at heart.

Watto - No money, no parts, no deal.

Jabba the Hutt - Slaves in bikinis need shorter leashes.

Boba Fett - His father's son. And his clone.

Onoto, love the Jabba the Hutt one! [face_laugh][face_laugh][face_laugh]

This is a great idea for a thread :D Talk about condensed fiction :D

    Qui-Gon Jinn:
Stubborn maverick yet follows the Force.

    Padawan Obi-Wan:
Struggles to please, never breaking rules.

    Anakin Skywalker:
Reckless and loving, dangerous if provoked.

    Han Solo:
Best smuggler around, former Imperial cadet.

Oola: Tasty dinner for rancor, like chicken.

Threepio Prissiness at it's best, of course!

Artoo Resourceful and loyal little astromech droid.

Luke Skywalker Believed in goodness, redeemed lost soul.

Sounds kind of like a haiku, so I will do both, for your reading amusement:

Wedge Antilles: No Force, still second best pilot

And a Haiku (Imagine your own Japanese spiritual music in the background)

    Wedge had no Force but,
    Even Vader could not kill.
    Two Death Stars no match.

    Isard tried her best,
Rogue Squadron too much for her.
    Lusankya dies.

    Even old age can't,
    Rebellion hero fights on.
    Geezer still kicks ass.

Wow, a three-part haiku epic! Oh yeah, I got skillz. ;)

    Geezer still kicks ass.

[face_laugh] You know those old people. So feisty!

Han: Scruffy space cowboy and gunslinger extraordinaire.

Palpatine: Wrinkled old madman cackles; galaxy suffers.

Greedo: Looking for more money; crispy end.
