Thrawn, you idiots! He nearly deafeted the whole New Republic fleet with minimum loss to his own fleet. Then he killed by a back-stabbing assassin. If Thrawn had secceded;the Yuuzhan Vong would have been defeated before they could have done this much damage to the galaxy.Lets end this pointless poll, shall we.

    Wedge Antilles.
    (warning: NJO spoilers)

1)he's still alive. (beat that Thrawn, if you were so smart, you'd have seen that coming)
    2) took Coruscant.
    3) built Wraith Sq.
    4) took out Trigit
    5) commanded Wraith pirate op.
    6) took down Isard (twice)
    7) took Adumar (what a diplomat)
    8) beat Ackbar in war games
    9) beat Daala a buttload of times (not really impressive though)
    10) beat Pelleaon numerous times
    11) worth enough to be given Lusankya
    12) won New Rebellion battle
    13) held Borleias from Vong
    14) wasted Czuulkang Lah, only losing a crater-ridden hunk of metal in the process
    15) was responsible for many deceptions (i.e. Starlancer)
    16) etc.

1)he's still alive. (beat that Thrawn, if you were so smart, you'd have seen that coming)

    No contest(exept Wedge is Corrilian)

    2) took Coruscant.

No he didn't, technically Ackbar took it, he got an assist.
    3) built Wraith Sq.
    Not a gigantic feet
    4) took out Trigit
    Not a gigantic feet
    5) commanded Wraith pirate op.
    Not a gigantic feet
    6) took down Isard (twice)
Actually Corran and co. did most of the work more or less.
    7) took Adumar (what a diplomat)
    Was bombed shortly after
    8) beat Ackbar in war games
    No contest
    9) beat Daala a buttload of times (not really impressive though)
Dalla beat herself through her own reckless tactics.
    10) beat Pelleaon numerous times
No. He actually managed to get the fleet carrier Edurance destroyed and lost 7 systems head to head against Pellaeon.
worth enough to be given Lusankya
    A mistake
    won New Rebellion battle
    Specific please?
    held Borleias from Vong
    His first good feat
wasted Czuulkang Lah, only losing a crater-ridden hunk of metal in the process
    15) was responsible for many deceptions (i.e. Starlancer)

Actually anyone could have done that.
    16) etc.

    About Adm. Daala:

Out of curiosity - did anyone find it strange that in Darksaber, an SSD and 20 VSD's couldn't take out the Galactic Voyager?

The loss of the SSD Knight Hammer was due to a stupid docking bay controller.

The Jedi somehow directed an enormous Force blast that pushed 17 ISD's back.

Daala did pull back from Yavin when the NR forces showed up. Note that if she had her 17 ISD's, she probably could have won. This defeat also came from one of her real mistakes: underestimation of the Jedi.

The only problem with Admiral Daala is that Anderson wrote her.

    Grand Admiral Jello! 8-}

Seriously, I voted for Thrawn since he was able to beat the crap out of the Rebels with only a small fleet. Thrawn did notice something was wrong with the Noghri, he took measures to find out why but his spy droid was found out. By the time he could take notice of the KIA droid, he was already too busy with preparing for future battles and just overlooked the threat of the Noghri.

Admiral Ackbar is over-rated in my opinion. He practially crapped his pants at the Battle of Endor, if it wasn't for Lando Calrissian's suicide tactic to attack the Star Destroyers at point blank range he would have been slaughtered.

Admiral Daala, if she could get her emotions under control, she could become a pain in the Rebels' side. Let us not forget that the author was KJA who knows jack squat about tactics and strategy.

Why do I not see General Veers on here?

Concerning Intelligence & Courage - Someone had said in an earlier post that Thrawn was a coward because he kept hiding from the New Republic and therefore made him not as smart as he is shown to be. In that person's opinion, hiding from one's enemies may be considered cowardice. In my opinion, buying time is not cowardice but intelligence. Thrawn just came out of the Unknown Regions, half aware of the situation in the Proper Galaxy. He spent a year gathering resources and a fleet, watching the New Republic and gathering information on the New Republic.

Furthermore, like someone said the Chiss consider heroism for fools.
