My first order as your new President is to PARTY!
SMT Christmas party/Inauguration party/Retirement party!
What: See above? dummy!
When: December 17th 2005 @ 6pm-ish
Where: My place (directions will be posted on the SMT site shortly)
Who: Paid members only and guests
Why: Because I said so.
This will be a potluck dinner and a list will be posted by weeks end on the SMT site of items still needed for the dinner!
Please RSVP by December 10th and as mentioned above this will be the Emperor of the SMT?s retirement party!
Aw, thanks, man. That's entirely too cool of you.
Traci and I will be there!
adding to the festive nature of the SMT Christmas party I would like to start the first annual "Secret Sith" action figure exchange. The way I see it we are all collectors and what collector doesn't mind doubles? Also this keeps the gift under $10. If you have any interest please PM me. If not, no big deal. This is completely voluntary. Nobody has to take part in this if they don't want to.
Hmmm... a party in which we swap unknown action figures as gifts, commemorating the great work of our former leaders, a party which could include alcohol and star wars and christmas cheer...
Sounds like a plan, as long as I don't have to work or anything.
(Sidious Voice) EXCELLENT
Sal, Could you also keep a list here just in case we don't see at the SMT site? Thanks, buddy. And change your colors!!! It looks like you've retired already....
Hey Sal, congrats on the presidencey, and thanks for the blanket. I'm the envy of all the soldiers.
Thanks Tim, and I am glad you liked the blanket let us know if there is anything you need!
As for the dinner we need:
Put me down fer a casserole.
I just found out I can't make it.
..but I thought I would just paste this in...
Happy Holidays everyone!
I am just finally getting excited about the season and thinking about the reason...
Just wanted all my Memphis friends to know that I am very happy to be a part of another group that is all about sharing the love. I mean that's the whole point of this isn't it--just a bunch of friends. ...and if we can manage to work some service into it, then all the better!
So here's a big hug from me to all my SMT friends.
...and a Galactic New Year!
I hate to hear that you wont be making it Jacob.
That sucks, Jacob. We'll miss you.
I think I said this at the other thread, but put Traci and I down for a spiral ham.
Put me down for drinks.
oh and Tim, will you bring my celebration III trucker hat with you to the party if you still have it?
Yes, I still have it, and I'll bring it, Dale.
wanna hear something shocking? I'm actually in the holiday spirit. That is a big deal for me. I'm not even the least bit depressed about the season.
Congrats Sal on your Presidency Tim sorry to see that you are not the Prez anymore but I'm sure it will be nice for ya. Anyway, it's getting close to Christmas and I just wanted to wish everyone in the SMT and thier families a Merry Christmas and hope you all get the presents you want
Thanks, Chuck. I hope all is well with you, and that you, Trish, and Tyler have a Merry Christmas as well.
Actually, everything is much better than it has been in a while. And we will soon have another addition to our family
Darth Real-Life rears his ugly head again. As Gina has already told Sal, my boss has decided to say "screw company policy" and pay for a party out of his own pocket (parties on the company dime were canceled last year for budgetary reasons). Unfortunately he decided that this Saturday would be the best day fro it.
Guess which one we have to go to?
We should be able to stop by Sal's place early and stay for a few minutes, then it's off to hob-nob with people I don't like spending 5 days a week with anyway.
Hope your boss is taking y'all somewhere nice, at least, Joe. After-hours office parties can be bad enough, but when they're at a crappy place.... geesh.
I hope this weekend's party is as wild as Traci's office party. I don't think I'm ever going to recover from it.
I think it's going to be at his house, catered in.
Which, frankly, I would prefer over the old parties they used to have at Isaac Hayes's restaurant in Peabody Place. Nothing against Isaac, but the band they would get would always play too loud for anyone to hear any conversation, so we'd always be yelling at each other. Annoying and headache inducing.
Rsvp'd so far:
Tim and Traci: Ham
Lin: I think dessert
Me: ham, stuffing, corn, and green beans
We still need:
And what ever else you can think of.
By the way it is BYOB.
Count me in...I've been out a while...I'll call you Sal and let you know what I need to bring **bows**
