I thought I wanted to post a fanfic on the sight, but 1. I dunno if it would be too long and bore the everliving blue milk out of people,
2. I'D get flamed like hell for the cornyness of it.
3. Kinda timid about positng origional work, perhaps I'm paranoid?

 

Well, if it's for the FanFic section of our site, I wouldn't worry too much about your story boring anyone. There isn't a place to post feedback, so you won't know what people think anyway and you can't get flamed. It's actually a very "safe" place if you just want to debut some work. All we ask is that the story is complete, since we don't post them in sections.

The JC fanfic boards, on the other hand, are a whole different animal. Posting fics over there is a very vulnerable feeling, lemme tell ya. You have to develop a bit of a tough skin when you put your stuff out there for comments/feedback from the masses.

The TFN FanFic Archive is even scarier, since it is basically e-publishing and requires a whole submission / get reviewed / get an acceptance or rejection letter process.

On the other hand, the positive feedback is as addictive as any drug and it doesn't take long to become a feedback-junkie. That's the fun part.

You're probably going to hate me for pointing this out, but from what I recollect of the HTTE, Mara Jade didn't know that old Darthie and Luke were father and son till Luke told her.

 

Your memory is correct. In the EU, she didn't find out that Vader was Luke's father until The Last Command. And Luke wasn't the one who told her. But this is an AU story - for her, at least. Gives her a different reason for hating & wanting to kill Luke.
