    Or, more specifically...

    • The original Snoke, referred to by Han and Leia as someone who manipulated Ben and turned him to the dark side, was murdered by a group of conspirators at the top of the First Order.
    • These conspirators are made up of a few First Order brass with Hux as the lead conspirator.
    • Under their control is an advanced AI interface that manifests itself as a hologram.
    • They have programmed the interface to mimic the being who was Snoke.
    • They have calibrated this Snoke AI to behave a certain way, "believe" certain things, and give orders to Kylo Ren with certain plans and goals in mind.
    • By "being" Snoke, Hux and the other conspirators essentially have complete control over Kylo, even though they do not have any Force sensitivity to speak of.
    • They're fooling the Sith. They've done the impossible. They are "the man behind the curtain."
    • After Kylo has rid the galaxy of the last Jedi and exhausted his usefulness, they kill him, but not before Kylo has a horrifying moment of realization that he's been deceived and manipulated on the grandest of scales, and is, cruelly, allowed to suffer in extreme shame and regret as a cackling Hux insults his stupidity.
    • Kylo Ren--though imbued with a surplus of Force-power and dark side potential--is defeated by a small group of military men who have no connection whatsoever with the Force.
    • He becomes a tragic figure. It rhymes.

Would be an interesting concept, but why have a scene where Hux is talking to the AI he programmed?

Actually Hux is...Bill Weasly, he got tired of being a Wizard, left his family, got fixed from being a wearwolf and is now serving the darkside of the force. Or the wearwolf just took him over and convinced him that he's better off as General.

So Kylo doesn't get suspicious if he has covert allies? if he has hidden cameras or bugs? if he can sense what's going on in that throne room with the Force?

This post deserves a "Teenager of the Year" award.

The scenario is so incredibly implausible that it eats its own tail, like the Ouroboros, and becomes endlessly implausible. But that implausibility is so extreme that the whole thing explodes, and becomes dangerously plausible.

That said, my doppelganger, who exists in a different dimension where Star Wars films are insane, really likes the idea. A lot.

Okay but it's clear given that Hux and Kylo are the only two that can get in that room, given that the others think that Hux ran off, why would he be talking to himself and ordering himself to get Ren? If Kylo did have bugs or hidden things, wouldn't the program be able to detect it? Also wouldn't Kylo, who knows **** about droids as per his short comment with rey on BB-8 where he matches her last few words about BB-8, notice that there's something not force associated with Snoke? You can fake a hologram but you can't fake the force in it. Also, Force Users are not easy to assassinate at all. They can use all sorts of things to kill you first before you have a chance to kill them.

What you're saying, essentially, is that with the entire EU to draw upon, they ripped off the Young Jedi Knights.

Snoke is Palpatine from the Second Imperium, Hux is the leader of the Imperial Guards who set up the illusion, and Kylo Ren is Brakiss. And JJ Abrams is Kevin J Anderson.

Leia is the Sith in this trilogy.

She sent Ben /Ren to kill the Jedi. She sent Han to die.

She will be the revealed as the baddy and the reason Luke fled.

Leia also sent Rey to get Luke.

Its all true. From a certain point of view.

Actually, the idea of a bunch of Imperials using a being as a figurehead is from the original Star Wars novel, right? I wouldn't be surprised if this was really a thing, given J.J. has tried to bring back to the forefront presumptions that fans had regarding the SW universe and its characters circa 1976--80.
