ST Snoke's Height - Poll

... there's been a lot of discussion in the main Snoke thread about how tall Snoke actually is.

Do you think there's some confusion in the article based on the comments about the 25-foot podium, and that the mo-cap character could be himself standing on a platform of some kind and not actually be that tall?

Or do you think the article's conclusions, in conjunction with the comments about the ‘Kongolizer’ method being used for his voice, are correct and that he is indeed very large?

I think he'll be pretty tall... but 25 feet? No way!

 

8-12 feet sounds like the most logical height imo

 

So Snoke is now the Rancor from Jedi's brother out for revenge.

 

Wow. Having not really followed the Snoke discussion up to this point, that is pretty hard for me to wrap my mind around. I suppose it's possible that he's just sitting on a ridiculously high throne, but obviously he could also just be REALLY tall/big. I don't even know how I'd vote...

 

The real question is, how wide will Snoke be?

 

25 feet would be ridiculous IMO. What is he, a rancor?
A huge monster being a "supreme leader" of the first order/KOR sounds stupid.

 

I think it's both, he sits on his high horse (Throne) and is pretty tall

 

I vote for whichever height causes the most knee-jerk reaction tears.

 

I think Snoke is small but on a high podium. I think they are pulling our legs.

 

When I read the article, especially the Kongolizer bit, I assumed the podium was in place to approximate the character's height. That's just how it read, IMO

BUT I'm in the camp that thinks 25 feet is a little bit beyond ridiculous. Can you imagine a being that tall in a lightsaber duel? I'm not saying Snoke HAS to wield a lightsaber but still. We are definitely approaching Big Boss video game territory if the dude's almost as tall as a 3 story building.

 

If he is over 20ft, he's going to be an awesome figure in the 6" black series toy line.

 

I'm thinking something along the lines of the Imperious Leader from the original BattleStar Galactica series. Could be cool..

I also doubt he'll be Godzilla or Kong size. Big enough to loom over the other characters, but not ridiculous. Maybe 10 feet? Course, Serkis did say "huge" so...
But then, maybe he's huge in a Jabba way

 

Speaking for myself, I sincerely hope they haven't gone with the 'big lumbering thing' angle. Like say an intelligent, well spoken Rancour or something I'm thinking Snoke will be atop a raised throne, type deal in a dark chamber somewhere in the bowels of Starkiller. Partially hidden in shadow and mysterious. But hey, whatever. I'm sure they've nailed the design if everything else is a barometer to go by. Also, I must add, I hope they've stuck with the Serkis voice from the Instagram teaser. Far more serenely menacing

 

Im thinking more and more that Snoke will be presented like the Wizard of Oz with a large false representation out front, and a smaller vulnerable guy behind the curtain.

 

Him being 25 feet-tall will make his defeat at the hands of Luke or Rey in Episode IX even sweeter

 

It's actually that little runt from season 2 of the clone wars that's inside that robotic bounty hunter suite

If Snoke's 8-10ft and sat on a podium could the scene look something like the Ralph McQuarrie concept?

 

so, he's a Zentraedi from Robotech/Macross?

Maybe he is the rancor. That would explain why he is scarred and damaged and hates Luke.

 

If this were the case, this would give me hope that the Zentraedi could successfully be portrayed in a live-action Robotech film...if there ever is one.
