NYC, NY SNOW!?

Sam, I know your pain when it comes to cars, my dad's car which is the one that I normaly drive when I am home in Massachusetts is 15 years old and still clinging to life and trust me it has seen some problems over the past few years. Yet, my dad does not want to get a new car yet because he loves that old Volvo a lot. I don't blame him, for the most part it has been a good car while we have had it.

 

I dont think its my car's time yet... i just think that shes tellin' me that I need to get a new car... soon... like by this summer.

Thats alright. Its getting towed outta here tomorrow at 2, and im gonna rent a car tomorrow morning until wednesday night.

My car lives again!

Apparently, there was gas in the oil, and the spark plugs were SOAKED in gas. All reasons why the car wouldnt start! Makes perfect sense! He also says that the fuel line was probably frozen at one point, but the dry gas thats in there now, will prevent it from happening again tonight!

So what have we learned?

We learned Marie doesnt want to own a car because of my issues... LOL (Just dont buy a USED car.. then you'll be ok!)

We learned that 3 degrees + Blizzard = Gas can freeze, cause gas has water in it. (They never taught me that in Chemistry...)

We learned that letting my uncle use flammable items inside my car's hood is bad cause things can get set on fire.


Needless to say, my car isn't giving out yet! The mechanic gave her a clean bill of health! He just said that I should use 89 gas in my car, nothing less and if i can afford it, to use 93 as often as possible to help keep her living longer!

Hooray! No more cabs to school, but now I have the wonderful fun of parking my car half mile from class and taking the stonybrook shuttle bus.. hooray! *sarcasm*

 

Weee i got to drive her finally! HOORAY!

My new mechanic is really nice. He said the next time my check engine light comes on likes its been for the last 3 months, to stop on by and he'll run them through the computer for free. Woot!

 

Ummm, Sam? The pretty lights on the dashboard generally mean there is a problem if they light up. LOL!

Well that light ALWAYS comes on due to a bad temperature sensor.. so they never know lol

Plus most of the lights dont work cause a fuse is shorted out. So..
