Snowspeeder re-release?

I was checking out the photo archive at rebelscum and their saga vehicles list includes 'Rebel Snowspeeder (new packaging)'. Seeing as they've re-released the TIE Bomber already and re-vapmed the TIE Fighter and Landspeeder, this is a very likely possibility. Does anyone else know anything about the Saga Snowspeeder or when we can expect to see it hit stores?

 

I wouldn`t bet on a SAGA Hoth Peril set.
They didn`t sell as good as the TIE Bomber did and there were quite a lot of canceled exclusives so far for 2003.

KB Slave 1 with Pilot Jango CANCELED
Naboo Fighter with Padmé CANCELED?
Hot Rod speeder with Obi Wan CAN.
Zam´s speeder with Zam Wesell CAN.
Cantina Bar Sets Wave II CAN.?
Accessory Sets Wave II CAN.
Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive ( often rumoured )
Sand Crawler ( was put on ice for some time but will be released )

Were all of those really cancelled?

guess I can mark them off of my list of stuff to look for....

I was really looking forward to a few of them....

I´m not 100%ly sure if they all got confirmed.

Anyway, the Sandcrawler WILL be released.

Too bad they canceled the speeders with pack in figures.
I wonder if they would have fit properly.

 

I have seen a new snowspeeder released/ It was at Wal-mart when I stopped in there yesterday. However it was an action fleet vehicle.

 

I dout that we will ever see a Snowspeeder in a saga package. Remember we had on in the Power of the Force line 5 or 6 years ago. And then we had the one in the Power of the jedi line in '02.

 

I could be wrong. But i believe the POTJ Snowspeeder with Dake and Luke was the Re-Release. it is the same snowspeeder from POTF2... with added figures.

 

That is what I was thinking too. The POTF2 tie bomber got re-released in Saga packaging.
I do not believe that there any plans to put out another snowspeeder for the third time.

 

That is correct. The Snow speeder new packaging was in fact the WM excl. w/ Luke and Dak. There never was, nor ever talked about that I know of a saga package for the snowspeeder.

The wave 2 cantina sets have been done, but I believe WM passed on them because of the percieved slow sales of the first wave (it really helps when you pack everything in equal amounts though)

I think what was to be the second wave of acces sets turned into the 4 packs hitting now and later thid fall ( Imperial Forces- Now, Hoth and Bounty Hunters- Fall) The Slave was originally going to be K-Mart butthey dropped it because of all thier problems. KB picked it up but after poor sales of the Obi-Wan/ Starfighter, it was dropped.

The basic idea is that until you see one on a shelf don't believe it is coming.
