We're getting quite a bit of snow up here in Garrett County--how are you all downstate doing? Traffic is normal here, no accidents and the roads are covered but passable.

I went out for a drive this morning and took a few photos:

Well, downstate, it's snowing pretty consistently. Here's what it looked like a couple of hours ago, and it's still snowing pretty heavily. The roads are pretty darn bad too....

Just flurries here in the southern part of Garrett County. I think we have about 8 inches total so far.

We've got a few inches here in HdG, but that's about it. It's coming down pretty hard now, though, so more will accumulate.

Well, it's turned to rain now... but I bet it'll go back to snow soon....

And nope, not panicing yet.... just hoping it'll keep snowing on through Monday so there won't be any school. ;)

Still only 12 inches forecasted for here...a mix of snow and freezing rain has been falling for the past hour.

We're supposed to get up to 6 inches by tomorrow evening here in Garrett County, but I'm not sure if we will get that much.

Reporting in from Western Maryland (Allegany County to be exact), there's been a nice meltdown of snow today.

Some days I look forward to snow and other days I despise it. I guess I live in the wrong place to hate it too much, though.

BTW, it's nice to be among Star Wars fans. Thanks for spreading the word about this site, Saerah. I never knew it existed.

Hey - a fellow Poli-SCi person! Did you major in it, or just a hobby?

Jedi_Insurance_Guy, it's both a field I've majored in and one that I have great interest in. In fact, I've earned two degrees in political science.

    Where might you be from?

    Hey, Poli, it's Lin :)
Glad you made it over here.

But be careful....the JC can be a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I'm originally from near Ocean City (a little town called Snow Hill), but now I live in Havre de Grace. I majored in Poli Sci, too, but sadly I have only one degree.

Saerah, it's nice to be here. I probably won't make it here often, but I'll check in. It's great to be in the company of other Star Wars fans.

I'm majoring in poli-sci and communications.

But I'm already working for the big company so it's all good.
