JCC So anyways I punched Rickon Stark in the head

So there was this film shooting in my neck of the woods and the kid who play(s/ed) Rickon on GOT was innit.

I was an extra running away from...something. I dunno. They'd make it look interesting in post. Anyways all hell is breaking lose, people are fleeing everywhere.

Rickon and some adults run through the scene as people dart around them.

And in one take I freaking clipped the poor kid in the head with my right hand and he went down.

But he was a good sport about it and wasn't hurt.

Then he joked that he was gonna send someone over to my house and cut off my hands so he could keep them as trophies.

I now dub him SIR GOODSPORT NOTA****

 

He should've sicked Shaggydog on you.

No. But I saw a noobie production assistant get canned. His walkie talkie was dead and he wasn't being proactive and getting a new battery, so the 2nd AD said shrilly, ALL RIGHT YOU'RE DONE GO HOME

it was hilarious

 

I feel like someone getting fired is one of the ways you know whether a production is truly professional or half-assing it. Because inevitably there is someone slowing things down and when time is money and you can replace people with others who want a job, nobody's got time for ****. It's basically a mentality of, "NO I DON'T WANT TO WAIT A WEEK FOR MY COMPUTER TO BE FIXED I'LL BUY A NEW ONE!"
