I.E., CA So. Cal StarWars Video Scavenger Hunt

"Well, I mentioned it During the Comic con Recovery Party. and Everyone seemed to like it. So here it is, Now I just need to decide on a date. I would like to do it in either Late September or Early Middle October, on a week end. If any one can think of a better time, let me know.
HERE are the Planned as of now Rules for this little hunt.
1) Each Team must consist of 4 members, one of whom must be dressed in a Star Wars Costume thoughout the event, and said costumed member must be shown with all items on the list.
2) Video Documentation of finding all items is required, all members must be shown on video at least once.
3) THe winner will be the team that get the most amount of points. Points are determined by the Ratings in the list, the harder the item is to find, the higher the point Value. (which I have yet to come up with, but it'll be like, finding and Unleashed figure in Wal-mart, 10 points, Finding a SW charactor checking Melons in a grocery store 2 pt. Etc. PM me list Ideas, all must be SW themed)
4) You MAY count things twice, but it must be in a diffrent location, and can only be done a maxamim of Twice.
5) You may NOT break the law in obtaining Video tapes of items (come on people, I am not going to bail you outta Jail!)
6)The Contest Starts on Saterday morning and Ends at 9pm Sunday night.


That's all I got for now... If it sounds good, and people would like to do this. POST ! I think this would be a lot of fun, and give us a chance to do something we'd all get a kick out of without having to worry about other peoples planning (I.e. no changing areas or miscomunication on where we are aspost to be) or Exhaustion. So......... heh... and one planing on forming a team yet ?

I'm gonna give it a miss, also worth noting that:

Oct 7/8 is potentially Galactic Playground for those wishing to take part.

Oct 8 is also the CHOC Walk at Disneyland for those that are walking.

Oct 14 will probably be the Oct IEFF Meeting.

 

He's now asking if October 14/15 will work. It sounds like something fun.... if we can swing it!

Oct 14th would prob be our meeting in Ontario/Rancho.

If we do it in the evening we could do the scavenger hunt during the day for those that wish to take part in it, then do some of the stuff at/during the meeting.

That is if the location for the hunt isn't down in San Diego.

There can only be 4 people per team and there needs to be one SW costumed person per team. So, here are a few questions I need answered:

Who is interested in doing this?
If we have enough for more than one team, it would probably be easier to split the teams by geographic location.

Who has some sort of SW costume?
If you're not participating in this game, is it something you're willing to loan out to one of the teams?

Who has a video camera/recorder?

I'm a maybe for this event. Main question from me is, Do you need to go to San Diego to take part?

Also Oct weekends are a bit iffy for me at the moment, not decided if/when the better half and I will go do something four our 2nd Anniversary.

No video camera, just a professional digital camera...

 

I do have a cheesy C-3PO costume. It's a one piece jumpsuit that's made for a VERY skinny tall person. There's no way my tushy fits in it, but somebody else could use it.

 

as I said, i'd be more than happy to video the ordeal. gotta a great video camera! i'm there!

 

Maybe I can have my padawan wear the cheezie 3PO outfit. Oh, he'd love that!!

with my work schedule (mostly weekends since Feb) i don't think i will be able to play...sorry

 

We need to get your schedule so we can plan something when you're actually not working!

 

it's hard for fam and friends...and even people i work with to pin down my schedule...i even forget sometimes....

 

What do you do that you have such a weird schedule? It almost sounds like you're either a firefighter or work for the railroad???
