Don't pretend you're not a teeny tiny bit excited about it. You know you are, deep down....

    Just a little bit. :D

Having a horrible feeling I shouldn't be getting my hopes up though, still, we'll see...

Yeah, just a bit. Will wait til I hear more. I wonder if this will affect the plans for 3D versions of the current films?

Well, they could release each 3D trilogy between now and 2015. It will be the best way of getting the public ready for Episode VII, which will no doubt be in 3D too.

But what of the live action tv show we were promised? Doubt Disney will be putting that one out!

I think that was going to be done anyway, the 3D showings i mean.
But hey i'm not sure what direction these episodes will take....i have a bad feeling about this

Well I say just go for the ride, I'm mean it can't be as bad as how the Prequels have been seen....right??

Lets hope not. I got sick of people prequel bashing long ago and certainly don't want to see it again.

Agreed, saw Ep I aged 9 and loved every minute of it, enjoyed Eps. II & III also. Now as a old man you can see errors/ wth moments but still to this day never understood the hate the prequels got.

Old man? You are but a pup! I was 15 when I saw TPM. Iirc, I didn't even mind Jar Jar, nor did most people at the time. That phenomenon took some time to snow ball and seems to continue to this day. I think most of the people who trash the Binks forget about the ewoks...

So if eps 7, 8, and 9 are made, and if ITV1 were to do a run-through of the whole saga like they are currently doing with the PT/OT, that would mean that just under 1/5 of the 52 Saturdays in the year would have SW showing..
Add in the 8 Potters and James Bond on Saturday afternoons, and I think that would pretty much do it for the year.. :p

I'm hoping they do another cinema marathon once the new trilogy is done, like the one I went to in 2005 once ROTS was finished.
    That was a great day.

So looks as if JJ has the golden ticket, as long as there is limited lens flares/less secrecy BS I think this could go well.

I'm more concerned about the writing than the directing
