How would your birthday have done in the Vietnam War Draft.

195 was the highest called.

My birthday is 01/29.

I would not have been called.



My English teacher told us about the draft and watching it in college and a guy in the room had the first birthday called. He screamed loud and left the room. Never to be seen again. And they think he was one of those that went to Canada. My teacher never got the call.

October 10=220. I don't think I would've been drafted, despite the fact my condition wouldn't let me serve.

My dad, who was born on June 22, was #59 in the draft year for 1971, and ended up having take a physical, but having high blood pressure kept him out of 'Nam.

I would just register as a conscientious objector. Not that they'd let me serve even if I wanted to due to physical/psychological things.

Have I ever mentioned that I'm really annoyed that I can't actually register as a conscientious objector unless the draft is actually called again? Since that's highly unlikely, it'll always seem like I'm Average Non-Pacifist Citizen #3,288,786 for however long, and since I don't want there to ever be a reason to have the draft put into force again I just have to live with it...the fact that I'm ineligible for the draft isn't the point.
