Trouble is I don't get it. Its only an online thing. I don't get it in the mai or anything at all and I thought I did.

Do sports cards even have value anymore? They are so mass produced I couldn't see it. Collecting stuff for enjoyment is a-ok in my book, just curious since I have a crap ton of cards from the 80s and 90s collecting dust at my parents.

 

How is it possible to be that out of touch? That would be like asking if television still only broadcasted in black & white.

I have my father's collection of baseball cards from the 1940s and 1950s that I've been using as wine glass coasters and to level pieces of furniture in my old, leaning house... but I wonder if they're worth something.

 

I bought my brother some baseball cards for Christmas, because we used to collect them as kids. Since he's a baseball and hockey nut, he liked them.

The only kind of collectible cards I've got now are Star Wars ones. I got them to fill up all the SW tin lunch boxes I have, which I like to fill up with little SW things, for some reason.

 

Marbles and hopscotch are fun, though.

I have a 1949 Leaf Jackie Robinson Rookie Card. I have put it away in a very safe place for a rainy day . I don't collect anymore but I do have 3 huge plastic containers of baseball cards from the 1950s to the late 90s. Some of them are still in their packaging (50 year old gum included).
