JCC so... is anyone else here afraid of spiders?

    As a kid I'd let the tiny ones crawl on my hands, let them repel down from one hand to the other, etc. so no.

    you know... pictures of spiders are really just not frightening. it's finding them crawling across the floor at 2 or 3 in the morning when you're in nothing but your boxers that's effective.

    having not seen those in... years, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. i have too many of those just being on this site as it is. :p participating in drafts just makes it that much worse... i could use fewer at this point.

    I'm fine with them so long as they don't invade my personal space. They can make you jump when they appear from nowhere suddenly, House Spiders can be quite large.

    Thing is, here it is irrational to be afraid of insects because none of them can hurt you.
    But it's hardly irrational to be afraid of deadly spiders and snakes if they exist in your country, they are a danger to your life.

    I don't kill bugs I find in my house, and I'm not afraid of any animal in particular. Except homo sapiens sapiens.
