For a minute there, I thought you said lawyers...
Oh stop whining. It's about -12 here with snow and ice.
but you've seen our infrastructure Beth. Our roads are hell at -6. All the side streets aren't gritted so they are like deathtraps right now.
Well according to my car temperature gauge it's -6 here too. And no amount of lawyers roasting on an open fire are gonna keep me warm.
You're posting from your car??!??
I should think you'd scream and throw ice and your government officials until they did something about your road conditions then.
Are you talking in Celsius or that funny scale of yours?
Celsius....found a converstion chart of the farenheit challenged.
But talk to me again in a few weeks and that'll be a farenheit number.
Its probably about -6 here plus the snow and ice. I didnt mind it until I feel over 4 times going home from Neill's which is normally a 5 min walk that took me 15 mins
> You're posting from your car??!??
Over in the JC they call this extreme posting.
Yup. I'm posting from my car while sitting on the roof rack, legs through the sunroof steering with my little toe [raises eyebrow] Like...extreme. Man.
well, I work in Local government so I know how pointless it is too complain about it. It will have melted by the time they pull their finger out.
-6 is normal winter temperature here. It was -15 around Christmas Eve. In Russia there is a village where the temperature gets to around -40. -17 is considered a good temperature for a stroll.
ouch and I thought -12 here was bad
Ok I am gonna go hibernate for the rest of winter
Weird. Did you know -40 is -40 on both scales?
But yeah, it doesn't get THAT cold here.
It was definitely below 0 when I left home this morning for work... it's gonna up a few points now, but still murder on the hands (and I had to carry stuff today)...
I'm sat in the office by a radiator and the sun's streaming through the window next to me. It's like sitting in a greenhouse.
Honestly, if you're cold put a jumper on! That's what my mum always says. And if you're still cold then turn the heating up. Simple!
It's too hot to work... I wish I was cooler...!
Now that's the British worker for ya!
I didn't know that, Beth.
I tried to learn how to convert one into another, but I can't remember all the math.
No jumper to put on... and the heating is controlled from the basement by boiler-monkeys
Tc = (5/9)*(Tf-32)
Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32
where Tc is temp in Celcius and Tf is Temp in Far'
Poodu, you need a little nip of absinthe to warm you up...!
I had some on New Year's Eve too and everything became really blurred really quickly. I don't even remember the stroke of midnight...
... but then again, I don't remember being cold either!
Now I'll have to do the maths by myself instead of making an American proud s/he is smarter than me - s/he can convert Fahrenheit into Celsius.
You realize that string of numbers you just posted doesn't make it any clearer?!??!?!?
Any math to me is confusing
Yeah..I can't believe they haven't gritted the roads...
