    Lucas doesn't resurrect the dead.

From a certain point of view.

Mace Windu is dead. The offical site sayes it.

    The Mace Windu Data Bank

"Defenseless, Windu was bombarded with Sith lightning as Sidious unleashed a torrent of deadly energy at the Jedi Master. The forked bolts of lightning penetrated Mace's body, illuminating his form from within. The final blast bodily lifted him into the air, sending his form hurling into the Coruscant skies, to crash lifelessly somewhere in the vast cityscape below."

    The Anakin Skywalker Data Bank,

"With the death of Mace Windu, Anakin had committed himself to the dark path. He knelt before Darth Sidious, proclaiming himself to be a servant of the Sith."

    The Emperor Palpatine Data Bank,

"Palpatine slumped in the corner, seemingly too weak to continue the lightning assault. Fearing the Chancellor to be too powerful and too well connected, Windu decided he could not be taken alive. Before Windu could take justice into his own hands, though, Anakin sprung into action. He cut off Windu's weapon hand with his lightsaber. Defenseless, Windu was then bombarded by Palpatine's dark side lightning. With the Jedi Master dead and Anakin Skywalker haven taken his first irreversible step to the darkside, Sidious grinned."

These Data Banks say that Mace is dead.

Mace was dead before he went out that window. The databank says so. To quote SLJ, "Yes he died and i hope he burns in hell!" The Emperor should have told Anakin to hand him SLJ's lightsaber.

    Anakin: Which one is it?

Emperor: The one that says Bad Ass M@%^$% FU#**@@ on it.

Remember Attack of the Clones when he jumped off the balcony into the arena? Mace isn't dead.

I think Windu is dead. Yeah fans can hope through the EU that he survived but although it is unconfirmed in the sense that we did not see him die it was pretty obvious.

Mace and the proverbial doornail have a lot in common.

    They are both dead.

    >>>>Remember Attack of the Clones when he jumped off the balcony into the arena? Mace isn't dead.

Remember when George Lucas wrote that Mace is dead in the ROTS script?

    Mace is dead.

    Deader than the Dodo.

On Geonosis, Mace intentionally jumped into the Arena. On Courscant, he was fried by Lightning and then shoved out the window by a Force shove. Mace has no control over what's happening. Ergo, he went splatt all over the sidewalk.

If this didn't do him in, then as Darth Sinister said, the splat finished the job.
