Will there be a Millennium Falcon II in Episodes 10-12 if the original Falcon bites it in eps 8 or 9?

I'm dying for a good ol' fashioned broadside between capital ships. We caught a brief glimpse of one in ROTJ. The space battles are my favorite part about Star Wars. I never get tired of watching the trench run or Lando kicking TIE fighter @$$. There needs to be better dialogue between pilots besides just: Hit that oscillator with everything you've got. Think of all the great lines from the OT:

    Red leader standing by.

We're going in full throttle. That ought to keep those TIES off our back.

Hurry, Luke- they're coming in much faster this time.

    Loosen up! Stay on target!

Watch yourself, Wedge. Squad at point oh-six.

They're headed for the medical frigate.

Cut to the left, I'll take the leader.

Intensify forward batteries, I don't want anything to get through!

He can have a rival now. Poe, will be up there doing his thing with his squadron and then comes Kylo.

Wonder how the space battle will compare to Battle Of Scarif!

Tough to match the Battle of Scarif!

I don’t think it’s fair to expect a space battle on the level of the Scarif Raddus Show. That’s holding RJ to a nearly impossible standard.

The Scarif battle was in Act 3, while D'Qar is in Act 1. That means it'll almost certainly be more low key.

But we get two, possibly three space battles in TLJ.

Low key? Would you call the rescue of Han Solo low key because it was in act 1?

Compared to the climaxes of any of the OT? Yes. It's not something the whole movie has been building towards.

I still wouldn't call a battle to that extent low key... I guess I just disagree with the term you're using.

Look at Hoth... the whole film isn't building towards that, but that's the largest key sequence in the film... everything else "by comparison" is lower key even though the film was moving towards a Luke/Vader confrontation.

I don't like that term either... see my Hoth example above.
