JCC So, there's this schmuck finally at Target...

I actually did my back to school shopping yesterday at Target and everything was in order. I think your store just sucks!

 

It's good you used that particular phrase there at the end, for it gives me some context to bring this up: 4 months ago (obviously before my time there), the overnight crew was promised a BBQ, due to achieving a certain number of days of being accident/injury free. Well, in the 1 month+ since I've been there, there's been no such BBQ, and many of my co-workers say that it's been said it'll happen for awhile, but to no avail. Back at my Walmart, that never happened... whenever a special treat (tacos, BBQ burgers, etc) was announced for the store (any & all shifts), it occurred when they said it would, or depending on certain situations, a day or two later. And the kicker, the overnight crew there would receive the treat first.




So, in short ( ), the 1st legit positive thing my old Walmart has over my Target.

 

You need to do a video where you are dressed as Porkins but instead of a Rebel symbol on your helmet it's a Target Stores symbol and you say, "Stay on Target!"

As I alluded to before, the bueracracy at this Target moves a lot slower than it did at my old Walmart; case in point, not that I really need this, but after a couple of months, I received this tonight:

Look at the size of this thread. You don't get a thread about working at Target this large with quality posts.

They probably take two months for the badge to ensure you don't suck. So well done for hiding that.

 

Armen, did they start hiring the seasonal staff yet for your store?

Those people usually don't get nametags until after the season, depending if they're kept or let go.

Hard to believe that 4+ months have passed by so quickly, how fast it took for me to be the new fellow to just being one of the crew, etc. Even with the stresses that occur, those odd sights & sounds on the buses from time-to-time, and the upcoming Thanksgiving/Black Friday shifts of gloom, it's still a positive experience. Haven't felt this nice mentally*** in some time over personal matters that I'm in control of (mostly).



***Helps some to alleviate negative feelings about the current state of the Lakers, and the continuing Dodger television impasse.

 

I can never tell this thread and the yacht one apart.
