Interesting. Better be single player. Better be Coruscant.

Open world as in sandbox? Are we getting SW GTA in which you speederjack people and plow through foot traffic?

It says they'll be making SW games for the next 10 years. One might assume that would be related to the new trilogy.

Seems interesting, yet I was hoping we would get a good Star Wars horror game from Visceral. Though, I still wish we were getting 1313.

What would be a good plot for a horror game?

While I hope this turns out to be true, I'm not exactly sure this topic belongs on the Lit board.

Too early to say anything, but fingers crossed it would be good.

    The Outbound Flight Trail

Join Jorus on an epic journey of colonization through the Unknown Regions. Play as an farmer from Ukio, a banker from Aargau, or a carpenter from Kashyyyk. On your journey you can expect to encounter bloodthirsty savage hoards of Vagaari, defend yourself and your family from the dreaded Mnggal-Mnggal, and ford perilous rivers of pretentious Chiss legalese. Shake hands with the Empire of the Hand and rub shoulders with the Killik. And don't feel bad if you loose a kid or three to a Rhandite darkfly parasite.

I'd laugh at your expense if they decided to decided to create a Star Wars open world game... on Tatooine.

It is a sandbox, after all.

mildly excited, it'll depend on the setting and when it takes place.

Sounds like a great idea. Depends how its done.

Honestly, I'd love to see something where you could visit sections of a few dozen different planets.

I loved Galaxies. Before the Dark times. Before Jedi showed up everywhere, and then the combat Revamp and the NGE.

SWG made me fall in love with Naboo. I loved the scale of the worlds, and it was my favorite because of both the nature and the Italianate feel. Didn't hurt that it was also the main Loyalist hub.
ID, have I ever told you how much I hate sand?

    Wait. What?

I would be open to the idea if it was being made a producer who is slightly more well-versed in these types of game (Rockstar, Bethesda). I love GTA, Fallout 3 (and New Vegas) and Elder Scrolls IV and V.

Since Obsidian made KotOR II and New Vegas, do you think they could possibly hand the game over to them? I'd feel a lot better, honestly.

Why worry! I predict an EA-brand Quality Experience:

    Base Game - free-to-play

Your character starts out with nothing, so you have to buy everything else:

    clothes - $21.25
    blaster - $0.10
    blaster power pack - $15.99
    Z-95 w/ faulty hyperdrive - $0.16
    Z-95 w/ working hyperdrive - $11.38
    Force sensitivity - $0.50
    Force grab - $1.99
    Force choke - $9.95
    R2-D2 - $49.99
    C3PO - $0.20

    In-game monetary exchange:

    $5.00 per credit

I am not paying to play the game, even if the disc was free.

Well, there is a lot of potential for a game like this, but EA? Find a better company to do it.

I would personally love it if the base game was free to play, but Jedi skills and force powers were microtransactions only.

"Microtransactions" and "love" don't belong in the same sentence together.
