So what did everyone get?

I haven't gotten it 'cause Singapore lags behind the rest of the world by abit, but I should get it by the end of the week...

 

I don't have any yet either.

 

Nor Have I but I have at least 60 rares and 30 or so foils from the first set to trade lol

 

Still haven't waken up enough to bike to the comic shop.

 

I won't be buying any for a few weeks yet. I'm sinking every dime into my new house remodeling.

I dream about them though.

OK, I could not resist, and although I am supposed to be spending my money on things like floors for my house (trivial next to a card game! ), I bought 11 packs of Sith Rising at my local WotC store. When I got there I walked in thinking "I wonder if anyone is playing SWTCG right now or if there is anyone who plays in the store" (It was Magic night). It must have been a Force impulsed thought because as I walked in, I zeroed in on none other than the two guys I got addicted to the game buying booster packs like two guys on crack buying from a dealer. We saw each other at the same time and they looked guilty like they had been caught doing something wrong and we all just started laughing.

The shelf was about half empty (and if you have been to a WotC store, you know that is a lot). I walked up to pay and the guys behind the counter were talking about SWTCG with two other guys (not my friends, two others) and they launched into "Which side is stronger?" argument. One of the guys was obsessed with getting Aurra Sing (which my friend pulled).

As soon as I go through my SW Insider Encyclopedia checklist I will post how many of the set (out of 90 cards) I have. I have a feeling it is quite a bit becasue I got few duplicates. The distribution is very very good in this game and even the so called common or uncommon are excellent, and in many cases better than rares. I swear, when I get a chance I am going to build a tournament winning deck with no rares becasue I am positive it is possible with even just these two sets out.

 

Just to update as promised, out of my 11, 11-card packs I have 59 out of the 90 cards avail. Of course of the 30 rares I only have 9, but it is not bad at all for 11 packs.

I know as I get more I will get more duplicates by statistical nature, but I am very happy with my 11 packs.

 

i bought three packs and i pulled: Anakin Skywalker E, Darth Sidious B, Chancellor Palpantine B, and Trade Federation Control Core foil (this one and sidious came in the same pack)

 

I bought a box and got the whole set.
as well as about 10 foils I cant remeber off the top of my head, Darth Tyranus E was one of them.

 

Just (finally!) got my first pack and must say I'm delighted to have a Darth Maul (A) in my first pack!! That's just awesome!!

Don't have the cash for a box yet, but I'll definitely be getting one soon =)

why must I be related to your friends ?

 

Because I can buy a box or two and not get that one card I want, and most of my friends can buy one pack and pull it right away.

For example, I bought a whole box of Death Star 2 (of the CCG) to try to get the ultra rare Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight. I did not get it. My frind goes in and buys ONE random pack one day (his 5th pack total of the set) and pulls it right away.

I know it is only my perception, but it just seems to be that way.

 

I also bought a box and got the whole set. That's truly the way to do it!

 

I am so impatient to wait to buy a box when I have that much $$ to spend and I always spend more buying less in singles.

I just pulled Aurra Sing and the most awesome Clone Facility.
P.S. Why is Trade Federation Control Core a rare?

 

I just picked up a box a couple hours ago. I am opening it now. My friend got a whole set form just one box as well, it shouldn't be that hard since the set is only 90 cards.

 

Oh, it's out! I gotta go get me some!

 

So close, I nearly got a full set. I'm short the Darth Maul C card. How bad does that suck. Now I have to try and find one or keep buying packs, which I don't want to since I just shelled out $100 bucks for a box.

 

There are a lot of nice sites that sell singles, but I am not sure they have Sit Rising yet.
