    The solar sailor arriving at Coruscant. Simply. Awesomely. Stunning. Imagery. And those really heavy, ominuous clouds in the far distance. Disturbing. Dark. Foreboding.

    "Welcome home, Lord Tyranus".

    for my money, nothing quite beats the darkness around anakin's eyes when he wheels around in the lar's garage on padme as he begins to tell her the more chilling details of the tusken slaughter. that's an image i will never forget.

    The imagery in this movie, especially when punctuated by JW's music, is just awesome.

    I'd say top three would be
    1) The sequence from when Ani walks out of the hut to go find his mother and Padme follows him... all the way 'til he speeds off.
    2) The wedding
    3) The arena when Ani and Padme are first brought out

    The "Breath"... after you hear Qui-gon's "Anakin NOOOOOOOOOO".... it's a slow inhale/exhale through the Vader resperator.... (and if it's a coincidance it's a GOOD one)... gives me the chills...

    More!

    The strafing run featured prominently in the Clone War trailer at the Battle of Geonosis. That looked so damn real..the blaster bolts exploding, droid parts flying everywhere..cool.

    When Dooku zaps Anakin with his Sith Lightning. I almost LOLed at that. It was just so obvious in hindsight..you can tell Dooku doesn't take Anakin seriously.

    This isn't so much a great piece of imagery, but it is one of my favorite scenes in the movie: When the clonetrooper finds Padme. He's so well-mannered. "Are you alright, ma'am?" Interesting contrast from the OT stormtroopers..

    Anakin riding off through the desert on the Swoop bike is probably my absolute favorite moment in AOTC. The sunset is gorgeous, HC's face is so intensely filled w/ pain, determination, and anger. To me it is just Star Wars!

    I also love the Meditation scene w/ Anakin standing staring out over the water. I noticed the similarity to Vader in ESB after rewatching ESB. I nearly fell over w/ how eerily similar they are.

    Finally I would have to mark up Anakin and Padme in the balcony scene for the first kiss. Naboo is so gorgeous. Padme looks so perfectly at home there amongst the green trees and sparkling water, and Anakin is so awkwardly out of place, being a boy raised in the desert. When I saw the Love Trailer back in Dec, that was the only scene I remembered from the whole trailer because it was so breathtaking.

    Lol @Darthboba. "Well mannered" clone troopers!
    Who'd have thought Jango's genetic offspring were trained by the SW equivalent of Emily Post? :)
    More images:
    Anakin atop that cliff overlooking the Tusken camp with the 3 moons of Tatooine above him. Just stunning. An angel about to fall into darkness...
    Yoda's shadow appearing after Dooku slices Ani. It's cool and a "Oh yeah, baby, HERE WE GO!!" moment. :)
    All the Younglings sequence. Beautiful....

    The inside of the Geonosis hideout looked almost exactly like I'd imagined it.

    Can anyone truly deny that this might be the best one of all

    [image=http://64.227.26.45/Grilled-Sarlacc/s/i/13.jpg]

    This really gave me an OT felling on a much higher level. Its just an image that shows that there is no way out and no hope for survival.

    Here is a better image of Anakin on the Speeder

    [image=http://64.227.26.45/Grilled-Sarlacc/s/i/aotc90.jpg]

    Quite simply, a beautiful shot.

    I know that Im on a rampage here, but somebody else mentioned this shot

    [image=http://64.227.26.45/Grilled-Sarlacc/s/i/camp2.jpg]

    Never really noticed how symbolic it was..

    Think back about 5 or six years ago. Did we ever think we would see something like this?

    My two favorite shots:

    Dooku's Solar Sailor flying over the run-down, deserted warehouse district with that red sky in the background. It looks like Hell.

    The shot of Anakin and Padme as they pull away from their kiss and are wheeled out into the Arena. The way it goes from the confined darkness of the hallway into the bright, massive space of the Arena is awesome.

    Yoda narrowing his eyes at Palpatine.

    Jar Jar swallowing nervously as Obi Wan and Anakin argue.

    The shots of all the clones on Kamino.

    Yoda and the younglings.

    Anakin and Padme's first kiss.

    The picnic scene.

    The expression on Anakin's face before he goes out to slaughter the Tuskens.

    Palpatine's "I love democracy. I love the Republic" speech.

    Bail Organa's look of frustration and regret as the clones go off to battle.

    The final shot of Padme and Anakin looking out over the lake.

    This movie is like a great painting. I can't choose just one scene. Then again, I don't have to.

    The Jedi and droids running at each other and the look on Anakin's face as he brought Shimi back.

    I am leaving my house in exactly 45 minutes to see AOTC for the 8th and possibly last time and reading this thread before I leave is really helping me. I am really going to pay extra attention to all these scenes mentioned, soaking them in. My fave images:

    1.Right when Anakin says,"..and the children."
    2.When he stands bravely in the arena and lifts his sabre above his head to defend against the onslaught. So brave to the end.
    3.The ride on the swoop. Heading towards doom.
    4.The look on his face just as he comes out of the tent.

    Grilled, I think that picture you posted of Anakin the moment after Shmi died says it all.
