Experimental things usually turn out the best though, dont you think, Arun?

I had never roasted a lamb joint before and made up the recipe, kinda, and it turned out a treat.

You have my sympathy TC. Microwave food is a micro step up from pot noodle.

I do, but only use it to reheat stuff when I'm in a rush. It's one of them fangled ones that has an oven and grill. if you ever get one, don't bother paying the extra for the convection mode. It never gets used.

Do you all use gas ovens or electric? I find I can't cook very well on an electric cooker.

Pot Noodle smells like what I would imagine the Devil's wretch to smell like.

I do have to say I like some of the Sainsbury's microwave meals... they ain't too bad if you's in a hurry.

My sister has the perfect kitchen. She lives in a converted bakers mill. A stone cottage with wooden beams and bags of charecter. The kitchen is in the basement and is enourmous. All stainless steel units and work tops and one of those cookers with the six rings. Whenever I visit her for the weekend, her and her hubby cook loads of food. :)

I can't even dream about affording a place like that.

Aaahh, all this food talk is making me hungry.

Pot noodle or a fresh sandwich? There's no competition.

ED: My brother-in-law is a college lecturer and my sis is a benefits fraud officer. :( We clash all the time about politics.

But they got that place cause her hubby used to teach in London and had bought a house there years ago which he sold at a massive profit when they moved up north. Jammy git.

Don't knock microwaves. I'd starve without one. That or crock pots.

heh. You misunderstand me. I mean't at Half time.

If I went to the burger van over at park lane and asked for a grilled chicken kebab with salad, the woman would look at me like I was from mars. ;)

have nothing at half time. Eat dinner before you go and when you get home, if you're still hungry have a bowl of cereal or some soup.
