When Luke Skywalker laid waste to the Rancor, did you shed a tear?

    Be honest, now. :D

    Yeah, tears of laughter. ;)

Jabba's laughing his gut off and then he realizes the rancor is dead and his look is priceless. All of his drunken minions suddenly get quiet too. Then the rancor keeper starts breaking down into tears. It's great.

I didn't cry, I was laughing so hard watching a half-naked fat guy crying like a baby.

    You are sick!

Can you not see that the Rancor was a helpless being, made to act as a tool for entertainment purposes only? Oola and that Gamorrean guard were probably the first meals the poor creature had in days. Luke was only going to sustain the hunger the vile Hutt forced upon him for his own personal gain...

Just kidding! I thought that it was hilarious too. Then I started thinking more about it and came to the above conclusion. But, hey! It's still hilarious! :D

Hahaha. I love the title of this thread.

I agree with Salty, I was happy Luke escaped. I didn't really give a rats about the Rancor.

When I first saw RotJ, I probably didn't know what was going on. :p But when I was old enough to watch it and actually understand the plot, no, I didn't cry.

My reaction was similar to Leia's :)

The rancor keeper's tears were a great touch.

Yes, I was crying, just like poor Malikili who lost his dear Rancor.

Okay, so I didn't cry. But I did feel his pain.

No, I didn't cry. My feelings were similar to those of Master Salty. I did feel a bit sorry for the Rancor keeper, though.

I felt relieved when the Rancor was killed. Then I felt sorry for Malikili, the Rancor keeper because I know how it feels to lose a pet.

even if the pet was the rancor? Its not like you could pat it let it sleep in your bed.

I thought it was humouress to see the Rancor keeper crying. Now, because of this thread, I feel guilty.

I was so little when I saw RotJ for the first time, I felt sad for the Rancor Keeper. But didn't cry.

BWAHHAHAH I'm sorry.. I just stopped crying and had a vision of a bed large enough to fit a Rancor.

Keeper: OH no! There's a storm brewing. Someone get Rankie inside, he can sleep with me so he's not so scared.
    :p

    This thread is funny!

But yes, I did feel sorrow for the poor Rancor, especially that last wine as it died, and then the Rancor keeper, looking like he lost his best friend...Its a bit heart renching, but not enough that I don't overlook the scene 90% of the time.

If I were the Rancor keeper, I would blame Jabba for throwing a jedi knight against a Rancor...It just wasn't fair.

But this thread is SOOO funny....Imagin if the rancor got lost? The rancor keeper would find a huge burrow under the door "Master Jabba! Fluffy's gotten loose!" There's be 30 foot posters all over tatooien.... XD

Jabba was going to have Boba Fett catch a Krayt Dragon so it could battle the Rancor...

    Sad or what! :_|

And Malakili couldn't say no or else he would be dinner for his beloved pet... :(

Ever since I saw TPM, I always thought Luke should of used the Force to trip the switch to the door instead of the skull.

Not at all. First, I was relieved that Luke was still alive. Then I laughed at the rancor keeper crying. Then I thought about it a bit and began to feel sorry for the rancor keeper, the rancor was probably all he had to love plus he's out of a job now.

I remember being slightly amused. But certainly not pushed to any emotion (sadness or laughter) that warranted laughter.

What about when Jabba died? Did that make you sad?

I mean, it would make me cry, seeing a fat man strangled to death... :_|
