So where did Anakin's scar come from?

    At first I thought it came from the battle with Count Dooku or perhaps the space battle. Then I watched Clone wars and he even had it there, way before ROTS even started. Does anybody know where this scar came from?

    It came from a duel with Assaj Ventress, I believe.

    No it was after that. I haven't read LoE, but in the Clone Wars, they don't so much specify the exact event. After Ani becomes a Jedi Knight, (in Episode 22) he goes off to fight in several battles and returns one night to Padme, and she discovers the scar.

    He got his scar from Asajj Ventress in Republic 71, about 6 months before ROTS.
