So who REALLY is behind...

the making of these viruses? The only people who benefit are the one's who make the internet security software. Where the sales in anti-virus etc software down? Was this worm a bit of a reminder to users?? I'm sure sales exploded (not literally ya daft eejits!!!) after that worm!

i know there are free AV and firewall software out there so I dont think they would bother doing anything but what about the big companies that DEPEND on there always being viruses! i know MOST viruses are probably jus programmers trying to show off but maybe some are made to help the AV software industry! hmmmmmm!!!!

Yeah a buddy of mine was getting loads of pop ups recently and found out it was a company that made made anti spam programs and spam programs for others... so they spammed you to death and then you paid for their OTHER products... was all solved by disabling windows messenger or something though HA

 

Yeh i was having problems with pop ups a while ago Nic, and all i had to do to stop it was disable a thingy in the thingy....can't remember how exactly i did it lol But hey presto, no more pop ups!

As for TK's conspiracy theory, i have to agree.
